Really great, creative vegan Mexican from nice people who know what they’re doing. Our elote, tacos, and crunch were fantastic, but I bet everything is good here. A simple, comfortable cafe on a quiet street, seating out front. Highly recommended!

This whole place was perfection! The layout, decor/them, & food met all expectations. We ordered the asada wrap & the al pastor tacos. AMAZING! My friend is vegan, but I am not. I truly was blown away by the taste, flavor, & amount of food. I was full & satisfied. Service was great! Sweet people! Will definitely be returning.

Best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had—this is a hidden gem in SB! We had the horchata, esquites, al pastor + chorizo potato tacos, and it was all extremely delicious. Though plant-based, it still was authentically Mexican, which is hard to do with vegan food (the flour tortillas are soft, fluffy and made in house!!). The staff and chef were lovely and the service is speedy and attentive. Ambience is clean and modern yet no fuss and relaxing. Loved our meal here and it’ll be our first stop when back in SB!

So wonderful! The place itself is adorable, well-designed, minimal in warm way. The food is fantastic – highly recommend the spicy elote. It’s a generous portion and the flavor texture combo is magic. Also, the horchata with their homemade oat milk is so magic it takes restraint not to drink it all at once. It is a must-order. The burrito is served so elegantly and it’s amazing!! You can tell the amount of care put into each dish, the flavors, and presentation.

Simply amazing! Perfect birthday dinner. Pro (?) tip: get two dishes and share half and half with a friend. We got the cauliflower taco and sopes, and split. All vegan. We cleaned our plates! The horchata and Jamaica were delicious too; perfect for our sweet tooth. Very fun environment and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Thank you everyone!

I took my parents to Rascal’s for my mom’s bday in May. It’s a 4 hour drive from Santa Cruz but we all love the food that much. Not only did Dalan make us a surprise off-menu item(Molcajete) but he also brought out a surprise dessert. Food was amazing, the accommodations were next level and the vibe of the restaurant was as comfortable as being home. Thank you Chef Dalan and the whole staff at Rascal’s!

Any notion that vegan food is a compromise is shattered by this restaurant. Whether you’re vegan or not, you will love the fare here. Starting with the Spicy Elote corn appetizer (not that spicy, and not to be missed) and then moving on to a multitude of main dishes, from tacos to tortas, bowls and others, you will be filled and fulfilled here. Casual, fun, and delicious!

Visiting from San Diego I was hoping to get food here, unfortunately they are no longer at this space. But I lucked out can catch them on a pop up at a municipal winemakers. I got the crunch wrap and the Soyrizo and potato burrito. It was delicious. Super flavorful, filling, and not a typical run of the mill vegan dish pumped out. The wait wasn’t terrible, but even if there is one the food is worth the wait. Had to to dine in, municipal was a great location, beautiful outdoor seating, but we had to go inside due to rain, Keep an eye on their socials for pop up dates and locations.
