I’ve been eating at Raul’s for years now. It is one of those comforting little hole-in-the-wall-like places, where it’s almost a secret, but all the locals know about it and go often. The food is “clean” as well as the restaurant. They have room for a large party of patrons, for birthdays etcetera. They have reasonable prices and most plates can feed two or be split into two meals depending on whether you eat a lot at one time or not. I smell the napkin and I’m full, so I take a lot home. The food comes to your table immediately when ready so it os ALWAYS super hot, and is simply delicious. The salsa is great; I like hot salsa, but sometimes it’s not that hot. This place is definitely authentic and won’t disappoint. (Can’t find the pic I have of the enchiladas, sorry! Will edit post if I find it.)

Coming from Texas and really didn’t like any Mexican food here but, this is our last day in LA and just stopped in for a bite on our way to the airport. Wish we would have found this place sooner. Good customer service. Had the flautas and they were good. Salsa and chips were good too. Glad the Mi California restaurant was closed or we would have missed this one.

The owner is a fantastic guy. He cares about his customers. Best Menudo and salsa ever. I have been a customer for around 20 years. You have to try.

Our number one Mexican restaurant to go too. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Don’t forget Saturday & Sunday for their Menudo, absolutely the best! And very known for their enchiladas!

This is the 4th time I’ve eaten here. What the restaurant lacks in size, it makes for in its food. I’ve had 4 different dishes & each one was great. I had enough for my dinner the next day as there was so much food. They do close at 7 p.m. so go early.

Flavorless Chile Verde pork. Run down establishment. Torn seats, wobbly furniture, no ac. Place is a dump. Super disappointed.
