We stopped here for breakfast on the way back to Lexington. This quaint eatery is located on Hwy. 17 business. The sign outside states it all…”Simply Breakfast 7-1″. We split a delicious Meat Lovers omelet with cheddar, home fries, and sourdough toast. Outstanding service from Lisa. Forget the giant breakfast stops, give this place a try.

Nice lil place in Surfside. I have driven by this building many many times as it has changed over the years but never stopped in. I stopped in the other day and was gonna grab lunch but they only do breakfast so I had eggs, bacon, grits and toast. It was all delish and freshly cooked.

The food was very good and the coffee was also very good. The menu was a little limited, for Rte 17, nut it was very tasty. The inside is open and uncrowded. Worth the try. The French toast with local peaches was very good.

Hire servers that can take care of the tables, one person running around isn’t it, allow to go cups when they are right behind you. Acknowledge people who are waiting 10 minutes to get sat. Don’t pick up dirty plates and then grab food to serve to people that’s disgusting and not a sanitary practice to serve food to the public. Your omelettes aren’t that good without change this place will be gone soon.

Great place. The portions are a great value for the price paid. The server was very personable with our group. The food was delivered quickly and tasted good. We had breakfast and everyone seemed to enjoy what they had. I hear that lunch is good also.

When he visits us, our son always goes here for breakfast. I’m not a morning person, but if I were this would be my #1 place. Wife’s vegetarian omelet was excellent ( I ran quality control) and my 2x2x2 was exactly what I wanted. We expected to have leftovers… silly idea. Clean plate club!

The owner, Irene, is a very very nasty lady. She set a table of four that was behind us at a table first which was okay with me but my sister said something to me and Irene kept coming over to us saying you got a problem you got a problem and then she said if you don’t like it you can leave. I’m a local and have gone there many times and if it gets a line Irene can’t handle it. People were walking out. She shouldn’t be in business if she’s going to treat customers like that. PS Went to Johnny D’s down the street and had excellent service and better food.
