I’m not even sure how people are dining here without realizing they are being over-charged/ scammed!

This is going to sound the same as everyone else… I have probably eaten 50 Gyros from Arun. I went in and the 2 “younger guys” were working. As soon as I picked up the bag I knew it wasn’t right. It had two pieces of lamb meat on it. I asked them if they could make it like it is normally made and he made some nasty comment so I asked for my money back. Such a disappointment because Arun it’s so great. If it wasn’t for him, this would be a one star, but I do not like being treated like that and I am no snowflake. Where is my Gyro! Oh wait they had to throw it away instead of adding some meat to eat and not making nasty comments.

Small family Pakistani restaurant with minimal seating. Definitely authentic as I was the only native English speaker there. The service was great, as were the recommendations. They definitely steered me to their special as everything else I asked about would “take a while.” The chicken Karahi was excellent and came out in a dinner sized portion…so I have a bonus to-go dish for later . They also were insistent about paying with cash instead of card although they did accept cards… I’m sure if I had insisted they would have. Frankly they would have gotten a 5 star rating is the whole ordering, paying, seating process had been more efficient. I’ll definitely be back…check out pictures of my meal attached.

Taste is great and the ambiance and smell remind me of Pakistan. Downside is that some employees don’t listen and aren’t accommodating for things like not adding a spice in the papri chaat or not adding rooh afza in the falooda. Also at times the Kashmiri chai is great, but other times there has clearly already been salt added

Tasty food. We had their papri chat, chicken shwarma and delicious faluda. All of these iteams are yummy. One main problem is they accept cash only and I think it is troublesome. The staff should be more generous in dealing with the customers. Will order again.

Don’t go here unless you’rw hoping for an OVERCHARGE on your card. I hadn’t been there for close to 5 years and just today, while I was in the neighborhood, I ordered a Lamb Karahi for pickup. It took them close to 20 minutes to prep, fully expected. The problem was when I went to pay, they charged me an extra $2 more than what the menu stated and 10% tax (carried out). I confronted them about it and they said there was an extra $1 charge because of rising food prices for each order and they claimed food tax in Virginia was 10%. I ordered one item, so roughly $5 tacked on to what the price should have been.

I usually love this place but I got the Lamb Karahi which is supposed to be the house special. I didn’t mind paying $3 more than was listed on the menu but I was not happy about 1/3 of it being bones. I have had this dish several times before and expect a few bones but was extremely disappointed to bring this home and find so many bones. If I would have eaten in the restaurant I would have made it an issue. They need to tighten things up.

Ravi chatkhara is the best place for lunch, dinner, or even a late night snack. I have been going to Ravi chatkhara for quite a while now ever since I realized just how good their food is. They are a true authentic Pakistan restaurant and whatever you ask for, it is there. Mouth watering Karahi to kabob rolls I would quite literally die for, Ravi chatkhara has it all. Each time I pass by Glebe road, I make sure to go to Ravi chatkhara. For late night cravings, this is a must. My family orders a variety from awesome samosas, refreshing mango lassi, and more. The overall aesthetic is beautiful. I could see myself spending hours looking at the beautiful paintings of Pakistan and exquisite photos of food. Anyone in their right minds would order from Ravi chatkhara over any other place. If you are anywhere near the D.C. metro area you need to try out Ravi chatkhara.
