I absolutely LOVE Rax Roast Beef. Biased because of working in a great one in Richmond IN when I was young. The food here was very good. The taste was just as I imagined. Fried have that fluffy baked potato feel and taste. Cheese sauce on Big Beef & Cheddar had that tangy, creamy taste I remember. The Turkey Club was great, too. This store still has signs up for a closed dining room. Luckily, the drive through was open and quick.

I can’t believe there is a Rax nearby! Talk about a taste of nostalgia! 5 stars on the food! 5 stars on the service! Since the lobby isn’t open, I can’t really give it good marks for the atmosphere, but 4 stars for now since the folks at the window were so great.

Stopped to pick up some BBC(Beef Bacon Cheddar) Sandwiches for my family’s dinner. They of course are too young to know of Rax. But hubby and I remember! Just wish they still had Rax sauce and didn’t use Kraft BBQ sauce packets instead. Sandwiches were just as good as they were from our memory. Kids enjoyed them but kept comparing them to the “A” place’s which aren’t even close in our book but whatever. For your information the lobby remains closed so drive through only!

I just found this place. They have been open about 15 months, I was told. They were my favorite sandwiches and fast food by far. I had to stop and check it out. The inside dining was not open, so I went to the drive thru. I got my old favorite BBC and a shake. I must say the bun was different, the original I remember was a keysor bun, this one was not as flavorful but not terrible and the shake was a bit too thick. Overall great to have them back.

I was not able to go inside because the lobby was closed, but the food was absolutely amazing. Personally, I like this place more than Arby’s, and this was my first time going. The food was hot, the employee that we spoke to was nice, and we got everything that my parents and I ordered. We were all satisfied.

I haven’t been to Rax since they closed our town’s back in the 90s, so when I heard there was one nearby I had to stop and see if it was how I remembered. It was just as good as before. The food was hot, especially the fries. The roast beef was exactly as I remembered it tasting, very tender and much better that that other RB place out there. The only downside is that their lobby is closed, and I would have loved to go inside instead of eating in my car. Still worth the 60 mile trip to get it.

Best customer service hands down! Went there about a month ago for the first time, I’m never in Park Layne and had no idea they had a Rax. I remember having it as a child, but I’ve not been to one in over 20 years. Ordered food, pulled up, and told the gentleman working that I hadn’t seen a Rax and forever and how excited I was. We had a brief conversation that ended with him saying , “I hope it’s just as good as you remember.” Those small comments are what customer service is all about!

I have missed Rax so much. This one was amazing. The lobby is closed for remodeling, but the food was hot, and delicious. Their roast beef is so much better than Arby’s. Very friendly service.

Drive up only, normal window wait staff. Fair food . High priced for what you get. Sorry Rax but this could be the model for all but a few stores closing. Not value = price. Big beef is a small regular by what used to be the standard. Do better or this store will tank like most all the others
