This is a hidden gem! We stumbled upon it during the U.S. 12 yard sale weekend. It seemed like the only thing open in downtown, but we are so glad we stopped. It was quite busy, but the team was friendly and helpful. We ordered 2 sandwiches to share between my husband and I and our two small children. It was more than enough. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious and the sandwiches were very well-crafted.

This is one of the best local restaurants where you can get a great coffee and espresso beverage around! Not only are the coffee’s fantastic but the food is outstanding! Great sandwiches and pastries. We found this spot at the end of May, and we’ve been here at least 10 times already. I can’t forget to mention the staff. Friendly to everybody that walks in. This is an awesome stop. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Real good breakfast options, you could tell the bagels were either made fresh in house or locally sourced. Could have more cream cheese options, maybe chive or sun dried tomato? Lunch & coffee menu looked really promising. Seemed very clean. No visible public bathroom but we also didn’t ask so uncertain about that. Welcoming vibe was meh but early in the morning passing through, it is what it is. Pricing was also super fair for quality of food, would be reasonable to pay a bit more even. Would return/ recommend based on food quality alone.

The best Tuna Melt I’ve ever had. Also got me some local preserves and a fruit roll up from their little gift shop. Amazing aesthetic and the food is to die for. Can’t wait to go back next time and pig out! ❤️ the choc chip cookies are also a must

The food was amazing, the service was friendly, and the cafe was so comfortable. The baked oatmeal was great with local berries, and the donuts were absolutely perfect. Also- it’s a small thing but they make a really, really good cup of coffee.

Wonderful addition to Galien, on SW Michigan’s “Main Line,” Cleveland Avenue: the only north-south through route, running from the Indiana state line to Lake Michigan. Already discovered as a destination by bicyclists, and by all ages, including us grandparents.

If you find yourself in Harbor Country, take a little drive out to Ray & Al’s for lunch—you’ll be happy you did! Everything is fresh and delicious, service is friendly and the place is so cute with indoor and outdoor seating. Ray and the kitchen crew make a mean sandwich, salad, and bowl of soup, and Al and company up front serve it up with a smile. Baked goods (try the lemon blueberry cookie) and fresh beet and kale side salad or cole slaw round out your meal and are sure to keep you filled up all afternoon. I’ve had everything on the menu and don’t have a complaint about a thing (turkey club, tuna melt, chefs salad are my favorites at the moment)These gals know what they’re doing when it comes to making a great lunch!

I have to say, I think these are the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The Cuban and the liverwurst are to die for! The kale and beet salad is a perfect compliment to these yummy sandwiches! The service is great, everybody is friendly, and the location is very appealing. This is a must do!

Everything was phenomenal!! I can’t say enough about the staff and food. I had the hot ham and cheese and it was by far the best lunch I have had in a while..convenient location, clean and adorable atmosphere. Pricing is reasonable as well.
