We’ve been going to Ray’s over the years and really enjoy the food and the employees. You feel like family there. This last visit was Friday, for the fish fry. Two of us had the fried cod while one went for the fried walleye. The cod was really tasty with not too much batter. The soup for the day was clam chowder which was quite tasty also. And the special of the day includes dessert…tapioca or chocolate pudding. A very enjoyable meal!

A hidden gem. A little old but clean. Friendly and responsive staff. Our son had a burger and great fries. Hubby had open faced roast beef that was excellent. I loved my stuffed French toast. Happy we stopped here.

If you like poached eggs, don’t go to this restaurant after 11 a.m. because they will flatly refuse to prepare poached eggs. The reason given? They don’t boil water after 11 a.m. I’ve never had such terrible service at a restaurant. In addition, the manager clearly did not care nor did she make any attempt to remedy the situation. The waitress was rude as well. We walked out. Service trumps food quality every time. Do NOT go to this restaurant if you expect even OK service.

Excellent Food and Service. Had been a few years since we had been here, but were not disappointed.

If you like diners, this is probably my favorite. The fried chicken is mouth watering. I haven’t found better anywhere closer than St Louis or Kansas City. If you’re in the mood for a relatively quiet spot with great fried comfort food, this is your spot. Definitely worth the scenic Wisconsin drive.

I work with mentally disabled adults, we stopped here for the first time today (7/21/2017). Our server Susan was very rude and short with us. Our food came out cold. And we were barley checked on. However there was a younger girl with long brown hair. She was sweet and polite. Helped us when we needed it. Not a good first impression. Please remember that even with mental disabilities they are people to. They don’t deserve to be treated differently because they are different.

Nice little restaurant. Little off the highway. The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff was really nice and friendly. We had burgers which were good size and yum. We also had the cheese curds which were a amazing!

Food is always great! Service was awful…I wanted ice cream for my dessert but it took so long for everything and my kids were restless so I had to take pudding to go. The waitress said they were not suppose to do that but she could tell I was upset and did that for me.

This family owned restaurant has amazing service from the waitstaff and excellent portions for its entrees. I highly recommend this family friendly local gem. Breakfast/brunch is the best here. It’s generally busy on weekend mornings and early afternoons but the wait isn’t ever too long.
