This is place is Southern cookin’ all the way! It’s a meat & two with sides that are perfectly seasoned. The fried chicken has just the right amount of crispy coating and the pork chops are tasty, too. Save room for Grandma’s homemade Red Velvet cake.

Wow this place was amazing!!! Delicious home town cooking. My favorites were the mac and cheese and the ambrosia, but everything was wonderful! The ambrosia was fruit with whipped cream, cream cheese, and nuts, sooo good! (half eaten in my pic ) The place was also very clean. Not sure what I enjoyed more, the friendliness of the staff or the great food.

You don’t want to miss out on some of the best southern cookin’ you’ll ever have! It’s a little out of the way of the major roads, but I love the nice drive to this family owned restaurant. When you walk in, it feels like home. We had fried chicken and smothered pork chops with sides of Mac n cheese, cabbage, and cornbread. Imma let you know that the pork chops and chicken were cooked to PERFECTION and the Mac n cheese was so flavorful and just melted in my mouth! Their sweet tea was amazing as well! Come out and support this local, family owned business!

This is a casual place with real home-cooked southern food. The place was clean and had fresh farm-style decor. The food is cooked and ready where you order at the counter. There were enough tables for several people/ families to dine inside. There is also outdoor seating. I had fried chicken with collard greens and butter beans. My husband and son also had fried chicken but also had mac and cheese. The chicken was tasty, light, crispy, and not greasy. The sides were prefectly southern. We enjoyed this lunch stop on our road trip from Florida to the Georgia mountains. So happy to have found this family-owned business. We would definitely come back here if we are in the area!

I loved the meatloaf dinner. The Mac and cheese was just like home. The cabbage was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. I have no words for the red velvet cake. I was disappointed when I returned the next day and they were out. I tasted the marley wings from my husband’s dinner and was thoroughly impressed. If you’re in Madison you gotta give them a try. Oh, and they deliver!

I’m in LOVE ❤️ This place is a well hidden jewel. The place is exceedingly clean, even the bathroom. Lots of parking. Food just makes you happy. I could have eaten a serving of all the sides. The pork chops are the BEST I’ve ever had. We live in Athens. A short drive and this restaurant motivates us to drive it more. Be good to yourself and visit this piece of culinary Heaven. Your tummy will thank you. I wish these folks continued success. Did I mention how nice they were? Just good people and good food. Doesn’t get any better.
