Lots of mixed reviews, I had to give it a try! Walked in, and it was 100% empty except for one woman employee (the owner). Ordered on our phones at the table (never tip for this kind of situation). I think this is a 99% takeout spot. We only had the ramen, so we can’t speak for apps. The ramen was not terrible, but nowhere near exceptional. It’s totally average. Although I have yet to have 5 star ramen in Providence. Would not repeat.

Food items don’t match the photos on their site, which is fine but does make it a little hard to pick. I wish they’d update their photos better to match how the items come out. The braised pork buns were different this most recent time than the way they were served previously but they were SO GOOD. it was my favorite part of the meal. Only $4 and perfect flavors but not the way these are usually served (at any restaurant, including here) but I hope they still have them like that the next time I come. I really loved the braised pork bun. Chicken Sando was also served completely different from the photo on the site but my bf liked that one. Both were on bao buns. The Paitan and the Spicy chicken ramen were the exact same thing but with spicy chicken on the latter but that was also great. I preferred the spicy chicken one. There only ever seems to be one person working here alone.

I had a crave for Raman. I was so excited to find this lace. On a Saturday night it was 100% empty. Nice safe but we had to use our phones to scan a QR code to see the menu. The we had to use the app to order our food but the app did not work. The single worker was not able to assist us. We left. If I wanted online ordering I would have ordered line and had take out.

The best ramen I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve been to a lot of ramen restaurants between here and Boston. If you were a fan of Ken’s ramen, you will absolutely love this place. I think the food here is actually better than Ken’s.

At first, we weren’t sure they were open. I persisted against my boyfriend and we were seated by a nice woman. The pork buns were delicious. The smoothies are nice too and they compliment a hot fatty ramen surprisingly well! Now the ramen, my boyfriend got the tan dan and I got the shoyu. At first, I thought it didn’t have a lot of flavor. Eating the sides, then the noodles, then the broth again. It’s subtle, but has actually has nice depth. It’s really fatty too! the real bowl with a POPPING flavor was the Tan dan bowl! If you want something more intense, definitely go with that. The shoyu is more for a nice comforting, simple bowl. give it a shot!

After getting amazing recommendations from friends to visit, we went this past Saturday. Hoping to beat the rush, we went soon after opening at 5. It was empty and stayed empty through our dining. We ordered the Paitan and Shouyu ramens, egg, seaweed salad and fried chicken as sides. The dishes came promptly but we were massively surprised. The ramens were watery, the Paitan tasted like water with chili oil. The sides were thrown in, and it all tasted old. The fried chicken was the freshest of it all. With the reviews and the recs, we really hope this is a one off, but it was probably one of the worst ramens we have had!

Yall…. This place is amazing. Any review that says otherwise is complicated and… i don’t even know! We stopped by and thought it was closed because it didn’t seem like there was anyone inside, but there was one woman hosting and cooking. She was great! We had spicy beef ramen, the pork bao, garlic ramen, and korean fried rice. Every single dish was FANTASTIC, coming from someone whose favorite all time restaurant is momofoku in nyc! Definitely give this place a try. We ate everything and it was also affordable!

Why is it okay to charge $11 for 3 tofu cubes, 2 slices of potato, and a few pieces of zucchini on wooden sticks? And they forgot one of the tofu cubes too. My friend suggests their prices should be in renminbi and not dollars. Also, 素食拉麵 should be translated as “vegetarian ramen”, not “vegan ramen” because it has egg
