Ok…..We we’re traveling through town and seen reviews with a 4.2 rating of Rebbeca’s Restaurant and decided to stop for lunch. What a MISTAKE!! The people that gave this place a 4.2 rating were either drunk or stoned! Quite honestly….we should have turned and left as soon as we walked in. This place was absolutely filthy! The service was buffet style and several items on the buffet were unidentifiable. I’m quite certain descriptive little “skull and cross-bone” signs would have been appropriate here. The food that we foolishly tried (fried chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, etc, were stone COLD!! I’m certain, ONE visit from the Health Department, and this place would be shut down instantly. The price paid for this buffet was laughable, as it was ridiculously high. Giving this place a “one star” rating is definitely too high. If I could give Rebbeca’s a “negative number rating,” I would! Finally……my recommendation is to NEVER EVER visit this place. I have eaten at a few bad places throughout my life, however, this place takes the award of being the absolute worst! Save your money and the high risk of food poisoning and go to McDonalds that is south, a short distance.

Old building with cleanliness questions. Food is ok, buffet style dining. They are only open for lunch hours and only on weekdays. Fried chicken usually pretty good. The pride of Rebecca’s is the wait staff. Very friendly. Colloquially known as the Calvert hooters for some reason. Pricey but you will get full. Good contrast In little Calvert to Webb’s diner which is couple hundred feet north.

While doing some consulting work for Plant Barry, the guys suggested we grab lunch here. Nice little buffet spot to grab lunch. Fresh veggies, delicious seafood and chicken, and some of the best Gumbo I’ve had in a while. Service is excellent and the lunch price is fair. I will definitely be back.

Quite the location. I tried literally everything at the buffet in a single sitting unintentionally. It was just all so good that I couldn’t get enough. Next thing I knew I was in pain from eating too much. It is now my go to for lunch everyday when working in the area. Also the ladies who work here are the most beautiful Alabama can offer. So if your looking to blush while eating mind blowing food, then this is the place. Also it’s cheap. Great unsweet tea too.

Worst meal I’ve ever had. Owner should be ashamed to show his face. 15 bucks for the scummiest garbage u can’t even force down. Save yourself the trouble and eat at a gas station. Will be a hundred times better. Half looked to nasty to try. Fish and chicken and bread hard as a rock and cold at 1230 lunch time! The rest looked like pig slop. No seasoning. The plain white rice was the only thing edible. Good luck if you dare

This place is disgusting! I ordered the fried fish because she said it was very popular. I went to eat it and it was barely luke warm, and had a very peculiar smell. I did not even try to take my chances. I’d rather starve to death then eat there again! Word to the wise…go get a burger at McDonald’s at least you won’t die of food poisoning.

We paid a lunch visit here while traveling through. The food was great and our server Jessie was the best, most attentive waitress we’ve ever had. Thank you!
