Having been to many (and enjoyed) most of ES restaurants, I was hoping that Red Cow would be another good experience. Unfortunately, this was not one of them.

What an amazing meal! The 3 course special was amazing and just enough food including dessert! Wonderful old fashioned too!

Unfortunately Red Cow disappointing and It is VERY expensive perhaps an off night? Sitting outdoors is lovely and their french fries are delicious! Salad too great Stick with a beer an order of fries the salad and perhaps the steamed clams All at Happy Hour menu time best for better value given the high cost for results of regular dinner menu. Sorry to say.

We LOVE ES restaurants so of course we had to try this place and quite honestly we weren’t as impressed as some of his other locations but it wasn’t like terrible or anything! Our waiter was super nice which was great but it took over an hour to get our main entree, by that time we were absolutely starving! I ordered the burger medium but it came like super rare, and it was disappointing cause I was so hungry. Also the bun was super burnt, and that’s all I could taste. Overall the burger had like no flavor. We also ordered the coulotte steak, it was delicious though! We also got the beet salad which was super good & the bread which was delicious. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the food came really slow, took over 2 hours to get 2 appetizers and 2 entrees out. Our waiter was super nice but that’s a really long time. We were seated at like 615pm and didn’t get our entrees until close to 745pm. And because of my burger. Otherwise it was great! But I prefer other ES restaurants much more than this one.

The steak frites here are the best, hands down, this side of the Atlantic. Steaks cooked to perfection, fries that stay crispy through your meal, with an excellent choice of sauces. The French Onion soup is just the right, and the mussels were delightful. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and take in depth precautions against Covid, including strictly enforced temperature checks on arrival. A covered yet well ventilated outside patio is both spacious and comfortable, with sufficient heaters for each table. An excellent selection of French as well as domestic wines available both by the bottle and glass. The host, Ross, is delightful, as was our waiter, Mitch. Great experience!

First ES restraunt I went to and was underwhelmed by the food. I was expecting the burger to be more flavorful. Additionally, the burger bun was too airy and I don’t think it is a good fit for a burger. Staff was nice. Ambience is on the higher end.

Absolutely wonderful. Such a lovely way to celebrate. Humble but upscale, such joyful food made by people who are so passionate. Excellent service, our waiter was a sommelier and so knowledgeable, he made excellent pairings for us. I can’t explain how magic the mussel broth was. An order of mussels for the table is a must. Everything was casual like eating mussels with your hands and dipping your fries in the broth, but the flavors were so complex and delicious. That juxtaposition made for such a fun and exciting dining experience. The steak and the pork were just insane. Perfectly cooked and finished on a flame, with the first bite of the contre fillet I just smiled. What a treat. We 100% ordered too much and had to a couple laps around the neighborhood after but I can’t imagine what we would have cut from our order.

The positives: great ambiance, friendly servers, and the fries were excellent. But at least on this Friday night, everything took forever. By the time our entrées arrived, the steaks were barely room temperature. We would have loved a second glass of wine but never had the chance to order before it was too late. Food is good here, but service needs figuring out in a bad way.
