This is by far the best Chinese food in the east bay. I travelled from Oakland to have lunch with a friend and their crispy orange chicken was calling our names. We dined in the bar area not the restaurant and got to enjoy conversation with locals and the owner chef. We always over-order because it is all so good and reheats well the next day since we had lots of leftovers.

Ordered crispy orange chicken but got soggy, over breaded, no chicken inside, one looks like a baby bird, way spicy not orange chicken. The rice was hard and cold and taste like minute made rice. Sweat and sour chicken was also all onion and breading, carrots and peppers. Was spicy too not sweat and sour. Beef and broccoli was also undercooked, had lots of carrots. $50 worth of nasty food what a waste, ordered online for pickup and it took forever. Sorry but nasty

Food is generally mediocre at a good price. Rice is heavily saturated in soy sauce. They rarely get an order right. I used to go there because it was the closest and most affordable but that only goes so far.

The Red Dragon is a nice cozy place to eat if you like Chinese food. The food is delicious and priced reasonably. Service is good. Next door is the Red Dragon bar where you can go for a drink and listen to music, play a game of pool or darts or just make new friends. The regular customers are always friendly, as are the bartenders. Great place to dine out and/or have a couple drinks.

Really really good food. The quality was all there and much greater than what you typically get in Asian restaurants these day. Reason why I gave it 4 of 5 stars is because the menu at the restaurant is pricer than the one they display online(Google) so when we got there we were a little bummed. As we were leaving a woman came to get a take-out order and I over heard her acknowledging the menu price discrepancy also. Would go back again. That’s all.
