Red Dragon, located off the scenic PCH in the beautiful city of Laguna Beach, is an upscale Chinese restaurant focusing on authentic Cantonese cuisine. It offers a combination of traditional and modern dishes from southern China and Hong Kong with the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Newly renovated in 2023, the main dining areas are located on level one and two that feature an atrium in the center with decorative lanterns hanging from the 2-story high ceiling. The restaurant has a sleek bar at the front and a second full bar on the rooftop overlooking the ocean.

The best Chinese restaurant in Orange County! Every single dish was excellent the service was excellent the atmosphere was excellent, less lighting would be great but everything was amazing what an experience of fine dining. We didn’t have reservations but Zhao the manager welcomed us in anyway, we had Anna, Isabel & Robert serving our table never met better people! Complements to the amazing chef every dish he sent out was pure perfection! They aren’t even officially open & it was magnificent experience shout out to Todd as well. If I can give 10 stars I would! Would we go back? percent we would. Love it

Wow. Really good- a great addition to the Laguna Beach dining options. Beautiful decor, attentive service and exceptional food. We had the Cucumber Salad, Asparagus with morel mushrooms stuffed with shrimp, abalone with wild mushrooms (such a sauce of depth and complexity with that!) and then the pork with lychee. Since the food was so good, we also ended up having sea bass- perfectly cooked, perfectly sauced. The chef came out to arrange a few things- what a delight. We expect Red Dragon to be packed as they move from their soft opening to a grand opening. They deserve to be.

They have a lot of work to do. Their pricing is way off. This is what a Michelin restaurant would charge and they haven’t earned that right. Very pompous of them to think without anyone knowing who they are and what they’ve done that they can charge these prices that foodies don’t mind paying for but they just aren’t that. Beautiful space. Staff ill prepared and overly helpful in an unhelpful way. We need a really good restaurant in Laguna. I hope they work their kinks out and it’s not too late. First thing I’d do is LOWER THEIR PRICES to suit what they’re offering. Good luck
