The food here is nothing like it use to be. I got two hot dogs with everything and the chili on the hot dogs was 90% grease and the meat in the chili was not very good. Also, the fact they still don’t expect cards is horrible it’s the 21st century! Time to come out of the past! And update!

For me personally, this was a total letdown. We got 2 hot dogs, large fry, blt and two drinks and it was almost 30$. Normally, that’s not a big deal. However, there was nothing special. The blt had 1.5 strips of bacon on soggy toast with weeping lettuce. The hotdogs were good. I’ll give them that. The chili cheese fries were very disappointing. They tasted burnt, and the cheese was just slices of American slapped on top. To round it off our “waitress” just basically slapped the food in front of us and did not offer refills or even look back in our direction. I hoped this would be great based on other reviews. Instead, it was just a giant letdown.

Best hot dog place around. I grew up around Ellwood and Red Hot has been a staple food group. You get the normal burgers, dogs, and fries – BUT the winner is the chili topping! This stuff is like liquid gold. Each batch is slightly different, so sometimes the surprise is how HOT it is (And that is a good thing). Now I live in Indy, but Red Hot is ALWAYS my first stop in town!!

Misplaced my wallet, but had enough to get my order. Mentioned about my wallet and the girl took my number just in case i may had lost it there. I did find it at home and John called me at closing time to see if i found it. I told him yes and thanks for the call. He said he would always feed me nomatter what. Was absolutely horrible, the waitress we had was so ignorant and short told us we were wrong about what we ordered. Spent a lot of money and came here because the food is usually good. They don’t have cheese sauce anymore just pieces of American cheese. My sons grilled cheese had no cheese and the chili was just sauce not meat at all and was super watery. I will never come to red hots ever again I am so disappointed. This use to be my favorite place no I’ll tell everyone to go somewhere else that has decent food and nice waiters. Never again!
