We’re Red Rooster Cafe, and we’ve been a local restaurant here in Hendersonville, TN, since 2011. We’ve got a family-oriented atmosphere, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch selections. We’re under new ownership and our goal is to make everyone feel at ease when they step through our doors. We’re looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Hendersonville and the surrounding communities. As we traveled from Nashville to Lexington, we decided to stop at this place in Hendersonville for an early breakfast, primarily due to its relatively high ratings. I ordered the breakfast club, which turned out to be quite satisfying both in terms of taste and portion size – it kept me full until well into the afternoon when we eventually reached our destination. While the atmosphere was family-friendly and comfortable, I can’t fully agree with the notion that this place is a hidden gem. Unfortunately, my partner’s experience wasn’t as positive. She ordered an egg bowl, but the execution seemed rushed – the cheeses weren’t adequately melted, and the quality of the biscuits and gravy was below average. Despite my satisfactory meal, I can acknowledge that the overall experience was okay.

I have been several times as I live nearby but brought an out of towner today, and it was a complete hit. She loved the diner feel and the food was excellent. We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the cook (very sweet and funny) and her brother. I always get something different each time I go in and today tried a BLT with home fries. My friend had a cheese omelet with hash browns and loved it. Not fancy. Great casual vibe. Tables turn quickly, so never a long wait. Excellent menu with a great variety.

I hardly ever leave reviews. However, the food was so great at this place that I felt like I had to leave one and tell everyone how great it was. I grew up with a mother who was a great cook and it’s always been hard for me to find a meat and three that came close to momma’s cooking. That is, until I found the Red Rooster! I had their fried pork chops today and it was hands down, the best fried pork chop I’ve ever had. The breading was light and crispy and it was seasoned to perfection. They actually make good Mac and cheese, which I can never figure out why other meat and threes constantly disappoint. And the cornbread was a little on the sweet side but so tasty! The service was great and it had a homey atmosphere. When I want a good meat and three, I’ll never go anywhere else but here. I can’t wait to try other things on the menu! Great food Red Rooster!

Not happy with this place at all. Had to send the food back twice and still didn’t come out right. It was cooked wrong as well as forgetting part of the order. Instead of owning up to they blamed a new waitres saying she won’t last and just talking trash on her. The bad thing is the waitress isn’t the one who cooked the food. So good job on talking trash on a coworker for no reason. Won’t be back.

Food was not flavorful at all, put those salt and pepper shakers to good work. The scenery is questionable and in some areas of the restaurant offputting. Our server was pretty good though. DO NOT get the biscuits and gravy, you’d find better ones at waffle house.

I gave this a 3 because the food is good for the most part. But as a LONG time patron of this restaurant I have watched it decline in the past 8 months. The owner is not there during business hours and if he is he never comes around and talks to the customers. The previous owner was always talking to his customers. They have lost almost every single dedicated server they have had for YEARS recently. We appreciated how they took pride in their service and took time to get to know their regulars. Those servers knew exactly what my husband and I ate and drank. It has lost that well oiled, staff appreciated, family run establishment feel. My husband and I spent lots of money in this restaurant for years! I have witnessed kitchen staff get mad because something didn’t go right. My husband and I have decided not to go back. Just my opinion as a previous long time dedicated supporter.

First timer here and I wasn’t sure if I was I seat myself or a hostess. But it’s home style you seat yourself. Red Rooster has daily specials M-F and the menu looks tasty. Tracey is our server and she’s friendly, knowledgeable and patient.
