Great little specialty shop. Lots of old school candy, homemade treats, salsas, pickles, all the good stuff! Knickknacks galore! Be sure to stop in for lunch. Fresh, made to order sandwiches with Hanover Tomatoes (iykyk) when in season. Soooo good! Don’t forget your milkshake! 10/10

Drove from Richmond to have lunch their with my friend. Glad we came. Very relax atmosphere, everyone was so helpful and nice. The sandwiches and the milkshakes are to die for. This is far the best lunch spot I ever eaten at, and I will return back.

This store has the best country ham in the state! A lot home made preserves and pickled vegetables can be found here. Also, they have a small inside dining area. During this pandemic, they are mindful cleanliness and social distance. This is a real treasure in Hanover County. This is a place we will be visiting often.

Is there an option for 5 HUNDRED stars?? What a sweet place! Excellent sandwiches – we had chicken salad, grilled cheese, and ham/cheese/apple. Potato salad, macaroni salad also good. Peanut butter brownie sundae with their homemade peanut butter. We bought some country ham to take home. That was really good, too, and I don’t usually care for it. Fun place to shop; great if you need a generic gift. The ladies are there are so nice! Go there. You won’t regret it.

Had a great experience. My barber, Ron, was experienced and a pleasure to talk with. I got a fantastic Marine regulation haircut and hot shave. Family-friendly establishment with loads of good-natured bantor between customers and barbers. Kids are having fun. I will go there again!

I have loved visiting the Red Rooster! The environment is welcoming, workers are friendly, and they serve great food!
