So we decided to check this spot out and fell in love with it!! Has a nice vibe, good food and great music. DJ played a lot of our old school cuts and house music. We enjoyed our drinks and the crowd was reasonable. You can actually walk around and see across the room. There wasn’t a cover charge that night which I also liked!! Plenty of free parking. A must to check out if you are in the area.

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have brunch and she recommended this place since she came here before. We went about noon and it wasn’t too crowded. The food was pretty good (I recommend the praline waffles..delicious)and so were the drinks. I want to call it a champagne tower for mimosas(don’t know the exact name my friend ordered it before it go there). It was 60 bucks. We had a nice server as well. My only negative was the place was giving off club vibes so it was pretty loud. They also add an automatic tip onto the bill which I’m learning a lot more places are doing now . But if you’re in the area try it out.

First time here the past weekend. When I first came in I enjoyed the atmosphere. People were happy and having fun, dancing. They were playing throwback music. It was just a dope environment. I meet a few new people while here and they were all smiles and cool.

Went for brunch. I had the tastiest vegetarian skillet and French toast that I’ve tasted. My Daughter had scrambled eggs and peach French toast. She said her food was yummy.

I ordered the Loaded Seafood Baked Potato without mushrooms. The menu stated salmon, crab cake, shrimp, broccoli, green peppers, mushrooms, cheese and sour cream. I received the baked potato with salmon, shrimp, broccoli, mushrooms and cheese. I did not receive the crab cake or sour cream. (I requested, no mushrooms). I asked the server about the crab cake, she said she would have the cook prepare the crab cake. The crab cake was prepared and sent to me on a plate that was chipped. I brought this to the server’s attention and the manager. I received excuses and an apology and $6 of my bill. Bringing food out on a plate that is chipped is unacceptable! I did not eat the crab cake. The level of professionalism and attention to detail is not present at this establishment. I was totally disappointed. I will not patronize Red Star again.

It’s nice every time I go I think it’s new workers there so they not as fast when we need them and they mess my food up but they did something about it a little. They charge for everything if you ask for ranch or anything they charge a dollar and do mix flavors I didn’t know that and our bill came out to $100 exactly and change SMH I hate coming here if the wings under a $1 why so much I just don’t understand I love cooking but not being over charge

I enjoy redstar every time I come.the Buffalo wings are phenomenal and I ordered a lights out cocktail which was made to perfection. T was our server this evening and we really had a great time. He had just the right amount of attentiveness and professionalism in a server. I highly recommend coming here and getting serviced by him.

Great spot. The catfish and grits were FIRE! Everything was delicious. The food did take awhile to come out and we were the first table there when they opened. Worth the wait tho! I’m glad they add gratituity. I see some complain about the in the comments but I think it’s more convenient. Love supporting Black owned.

They are AMAZING! The food was delicious! The service was OUTSTANDING! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing! It was my aunt’s birthday and she was EXTREMELY EXCITED AND HAPPY with the food and service. I would recommend this black owed family friendly restaurant to all.
