We love eating at unique dining venues while traveling – the type of places that you can’t find at home that offers the kind of food you enjoy wherever you are. Red’s Old 95 Grill, ideally located in Carson City between Lake Tahoe and Reno, is a great example of what we enjoy. Not only do you get great barbeque here, but you enjoy it in an Old West museum setting and are served by a super friendly staff. We loved it and highly recommend it to travelers and locals.

The decor is the big story here. Amazing stuff hanging everywhere with mining and fire decor. Lovecthe inside if this place and the old fashioned bar is amazing looking. This place is absolutely amazing! The service was excellent. Our server Christine always made sure our drinks were full and always came by and checked on us. The place has a way cool atmosphere, Old fire wagons pulled by horses are all over the place. You cant stop looking around from floor to ceiling. The food was phenomenal. Had an order of the fry bread with ranch dipping sauce as an appetizer. Ordered the bacon cheese burger and fries. This burger was absolutely huge! Cooked to perfection and was delicious in every bite. Looking forward to returning hopefully this time will get some dessert as well.

First time here! We were a large party with reservations. We were immediately seated and given water’s and drinks. Once everyone arrived, we ordered. The food was good and reasonably priced. Our server was on top of everything. Good job!!

I’ve always loved this place! The service is hit or miss sometimes but when I went Saturday night, I had a great time! Our server, Jena, was very helpful and caring. There are some vegetarian options as well! I got the Cobb salad without the meats! The ambiance is super cool and they have the best fries.

I was driving through Carson City, Nevada for my first time today on my way to a business conference. I stopped to grab a to-go meal at red’s. Minus the 45 minute wait. I was really impressed overall with the food and the interior of the restaurant is probably the best I’ve seen anywhere in the country. I highly recommend this place.

Service was awesome and on point, super friendly. Unfortunately the food was not. Au Gratin potatoes were not even warm, the chicken was very dry, the food was bland, ribs were ok. It looked good. I would like to try this place again, but we’ll order something smaller and see how it goes.

We have eaten here twice and plan on eating here every year when we come to Carson City for the Outlaw Races. We have enjoyed our food, the flavors are great. They serve burgers, sandwiches, steaks, soup, beans, veggies, salad, soda, beer, wine and liquor. Our waitress and the other staff have been friendly and professional. They were busy when we visited, but we did not have to wait for a seat and our food arrived faster than I expected and there was still a laid back comfortable feel. The decor is unlike any other restaurant! There are carriages, buggies, sleighs and sleds hanging from the ceiling, artwork everywhere, old advertising signs, taxidermy, giant beer bottle collection, antlers, licence plates, flags, carved wooden animals, lamps…
