My friend and I hadn’t been to Red’s & Trudy’s in years. It was just as amazingly good as we remembered. We each had their famous burger, onion rings and a shake. The buns were toasted with butter and salt on the top bun. The onion rings were cut thin with a perfect coating, and not the least bit greasy. Our waitress was really wonderful. She told us the same family has run the restaurant for the past 63 years. Next year they will celebrate the establishment’s 100th anniversary. My friend and I are both 60, and we have gone there with our families since we were kids. Can’t wait to go again soon.

Four generations of my family have eaten here. We love it! Very good burgers. Real onion rings, too. My wife favorite burger in the country.

10/10. Great food for a great price. And the service was awesome. I will say, the “loose meat” on the burgers is awesome but they don’t offer like topical burger toppings, no lettuce, no tomato, basically you can add onion on it. It’s still great

They have the best loose meat burger I’ve had. The family went in to eat and there is 5 of us. There was plenty of seating for us. We ordered and our food was right to us. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced.

This place used to be a favorite of mine. Nowadays, I find myself dissatisfied every time I go. The last few times I’ve been to Red’s and Trudy’s I’ve just been disappointed with the quality of the food. This last time, my burger tasted extremely bland. They had no sliced pickles, which I found extremely odd for a restaurant that is locally famous for it’s burgers. When we asked for lemon in our water, the waitress handed us a little lemon bottle filled with lemon juice. I had never seen that before, in any restaurant, ever. Actually, we didn’t end up drinking the water at all, because even that smelled and tasted a little off. The last couple of milkshakes I’ve had there have been less than good. There was nothing notable about the staff or service. I think I’ll take a break from Red’s and Trudy’s for awhile. I definitely feel embarrassed about talking this place up, as it used to be a favorite of mine, but it seems to have gone a bit downhill.

My husband and I love eating at Red’s & Trudy’s. It’s a historic eating place with an ‘old-time’ hamburger joint feel. The food is terrific and the wait staff are wonderful. Hamburgers are loose meat, pulled pork is great, but we love the fish sandwiches. HOT food served with a smile. Wonderful malted chocolate milkshakes! DELICIOUS!!
