First visit. Prices are a bit high for the portions you get. Ordered the platter which has curry goat, jerk chicken and oxtail rice and vegetable. Not enough meat on the oxtail and only a few pieces of goat. Rice was ok, parts of it were hard or too dry. Stewed chicken, and chicken sandwich were good but not great. For the appetizer we ordered the plantains and just got 3 small pieces and a sauce for $4.50. Mango smoothie was ok. This is more of a takeout place than it is dine in. Small eating area. Had to ask three times for water but it seemed that there were only 2 employees. Anyone craving authentic Jamaican food, this will do but order take out. Clean restroom.

The flavor of the food is good, the portions are very small for the price as others have mentioned. It’s enough to satisfy your hunger for an hour or two, which is a good thing perhaps..The wait time was around 15-20 minutes. I really would have liked more plantains because those were top notch! Overall experience 8.3/10.

Absolutely delicious food. The Jerk Chicken was amazing. The Jamaican Burger was also amazing. After we paid, I mentioned I was looking to try the oxtail in the future. The woman working in the front brought me a piece to try, and it was the best ever! It’s a family owned business run by amazing people. We will be back next visit! Thank You

Our first time trying this little restaurant. We had a discount coupon from a school charity, but were pleasantly surprised. Authentic, family-owned and everything was spiced perfectly. We had a Jamaican veggie patty, a traditional “meat-pie” that is similar to an empanada. (they also a beef or chicken version). We also had an appetizer of jerked chicken wings. For our main courses, wife had a chicken stew with rich brown gravy, potatoes and carrots. I had the jerked pork shoulder that was marinated and grilled crispy. Both entrees were served with sides of sautéed vegetables and traditional “peas & rice”, a Caribbean standard of white rice and pigeon peas.

Heard about this restaurant before, but today was the first time I’ve been here for lunch.

Saw reviews and wanted something different. Food was very good, but had to eat again, somewhere else, about an hour later. Small portions and their chicken was on big bones, so it was minimal. Atmosphere was good and I saw mostly take out, so that’s what they focused on. Probably won’t return, but enjoyed what I had. I wish them luck.

Today my wife and I were in destin for our 30 year anniversary and we stopped in waiting on hotel check-in and I first looked at the reviews and was not sure we should try it but my wife love ox tails and I was like why not were on vacation you never know so we tried ox tails and stew chicken, and we were totally disappointed one because the portions were the size a kids meal especially paying $22 for ox tails only 2 with meat 3 bone with gristle the cabbage was not good at all rice was kind of dry. Wife was so disappointed but I told her it’s a learning experience and that’s how you find out what’s good. Reviews are important especially if multiple people say the same thing more likely its true. We walked out feeling like we just got robbed. But it’s cool if we were to come back to destin Reggae Grille will not be on our list and we wish them the best and hope they get it right one day but today wasn’t it. Sorry but that just our experience.

THE BEST SPOT TO EAT IN ALL OF DESTIN! AMAZING REAL, AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN FOOD. Welcoming atmosphere. We tried just about everything and it was all fresh and served hot! The one lady that works the entire front and runs the tables as well is so sweet! If you’re looking for a unique spot without all the wait but with great flavor THIS IS IT!!!
