Cute restaurant in a great spot. Wish there was a parking lot but street parking is it. Arrived 6:30pm on a Thursday and it was busy but not too crowded. The staff was friendly and our waitress was attentive.

There were four of us for dinner. The food was very good, and the restaurant was nice. The drinks were great. Lacking was attention to detail, especially for a restaurant charging their prices. They forgot to give me a knife with my steak, for appetizers, entrees, and sides they gave the wrong plates to people each time. We ordered two pieces of peach crumble pie which they said were “homemade”, but upon further questioning the server told us they were “homemade from a place that makes pies”. And the pie was cold like it came directly from a refrigerator. It should have been at least room temperature. Plus, they did not give us forks to eat the pie. We just ended up using spoons we had. Plus, we ordered a couple of French press coffees with dessert. They finally came as we were finishing our pie. Not sure I would go back.

Wow the cocktails were fantastic and had the opportunity to meet Greg the owner. What a great guy who loves history. We talked about our kids while sampling food at the bar. The mushroom risotto and scallops were fantastic. Love the vibe of the place and the staff were very attentive.

We had the pleasure of dining at Relic on State and what an unbelievable experience it was. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, everything was top notch. Cannot recommend this place enough. If you are in the area definitely stop by and check it out! Will definitely being coming back for more!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and let me tell you this place did not disappoint! Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service and the food and cocktails were to die for. The manager, Stacy, was amazing and the chefs even stopped by our table to ask how our meals were. We cannot wait to go back!

My husband, a mutual friend, and I met up with another family, none of the three of us had been to the restaurant before. When you walk in, you are struck by how classic and beautiful the building and dining areas are. The service was quick and friendly, and the food is nothing short of incredible. We had a pear and gorgonzola salad, crab bisque, and burrata board for appetizers, lobster macaroni and cheese, lobster ravioli, and mushroom risotto for entrees, and key lime pie, panna cotta, and crème brulee cheesecake for dessert. We all tried each others’ plates and thought they were all delicious, even my super picky husband. We live close to 2 hours away and are planning our next visit!

Wow talk about amazing! My fiancé went here to celebrate getting married in a year. Everything from the rustic atmosphere, friendly staff to the delicious food! The Lobster Ravioli (pictured) was to die for! The butter for the bread has this great flavor and I couldn’t stop eating it! To top it all off the chocolate torte with raspberry sorbet was the perfect ending! Oh and don’t forget the option of truffle fries (my fav) which were perfection! Go to Relic! You will not regret it! Can’t wait to go back!☺️

NY-style eatery in Newtown! Top quality food with great service! The owner, Greg, makes his way to each table and chats with the guests. The bar scene is great and serves top-shelf beverages. My favorite, Penicillin, is better than the steakhouses in NYC! I’ll be back for more very soon!
