The food was sooo good. The Brisket was tender fall apart juicy the ribs were for sure on point and both were even better slathered with their sweet barbecue sauce that had a kick. The greens were for sure done right. I’m particular about my greens not having that overwhelming greens flavor be too pungent. They were really good. (So good I asked the chef her tricks to toning down but bringing out the natural flavor of the greens. She gave a couple hints which I appreciated) the baked beans were good as well. I suggest getting the Brisket and Ribs with the 2 sides for 20 bucks. Being honest the only thing that could be worked on in the restaurant wasn’t the food it was exceptionally good and so was the service. For me it was the heat of the establishment it for sure could use better AC

The food and service here are amazing. I had the fish sandwich, fries and baked beans. Let me tell you about each item:

I wanted a baked potato. So I decided to try this spot. 1st time visiting this place and I was impressed. As soon as I walked in, I could smell the good barbque smell. Nice atmosphere, place is clean, and have a decent amount of sitting space. I ordered the Southside potato with beef. The baked potato was delicious. The portion size is enough to share for 2 or eat some now and save the rest for later. I love the names of the menu items. I will definitely visit again and try some other items on the menu.

Catfish was fried perfectly, with a moderate amount of Cajuny seasoning in the cornmeal. Sides are generous (about 1.5 cups). Green beans tasted fresh and well cooked but still firm (not mushy), cooked with onions but not swimming with ham or bacon. Okra was stewed down with a lot of meat & tomatoes – very flavorful!

The guy was friendly but the restaurant was very hot. My potato was stuffed very much with chicken. Delicious

Ribs were ok… the potato salad was full of onions and bell peppers 2/10 the Mac and cheese I couldn’t put my finger on it just tasted funny and mushy1/10. So just of the ribs alone I’ll give them 5/10…. they are pricey though

My friends car broke down so we were sitting at Remos for a while. Had their brisket fries and they were great! I was impressed with the actual quantity of brisket. Staff were also very friendly! I would recommend ordering ahead of time to pick up also.

Sausage was the best. All the meat was nice and tender. Side dishes were OK. Desserts could have been better. Friendly staffs. Business was great. Customers coming in one after another. Nice and clean place. No public bathroom, though.

My sister & I visited ReMo’s Cafe on an early Saturday afternoon. The dining area is small, but welcoming. The young lady that took our order/cashier was very friendly & knowledgeable. Although she was working with a recently injured arm that was in a sling, she was STILL very accommodating, pleasant & efficient. My main reason for going was to try the 3-MEAT BBQ BAKED POTATO that was highly recommended by a church member. Unfortunately, they were out of POTATOES!! The cashier recommended that I try the 3-Meat Dinner/Plate with 2-Sides. I & got Ribs, Sliced Beef, Links, Collard Greens & Cornbread (sorry, it’s been a few weeks & I can’t remember my other side dish). The ribs were seasoned well & very tender. The links were a little spicy, but tasty. The sliced beef was average. I didn’t really like the sauce, but it was to the side in a separate container & I opted NOT to add the sauce. My sister ordered a Sliced Beef Sandwich, Fries & a Boudin Link. However, after paying (the kitchen staff informed the cashier that they were out of Boudin)… The cashier apologized & credited my card. My sister also ordered Sweet Tea, but did not like the taste (she’s a bonafide tea drinker), so the cashier suggested that she try the same drink she recommended to me (that was refreshing)… Kool-Aid & Lemonade Mix. Also, I wanted to try their Banana Pudding… But, they were out of it too! The food was OK; however, the fact that they were out of the main dish I went there for was VERY DISAPPOINTING. As we were leaving, we met a young man coming into the restaurant with GROCERIES in tow… I jokingly asked if he had the potatoes & he said “YES!!” SMH… I shared my disappointment for NOT being able to taste the 3-MEAT BBQ BAKED POTATO. He apologized & asked if the staff made recommendations/substitutions… I told him how accommodating the cashier was, but also informed him that I wasn’t sure when I’d give them another try.
