I’ve only been once but I really enjoyed it! It’s some of the best authentic Chinese food I’ve had outside of China haha. My friend got the signature la mian and she really enjoyed it. I got the cumin lamb, Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and the regular dumplings. I’d like to go back and utilize the bar!

Ah Reren….I have so many mixed feelings about this place. It’s one of the only Chinese noodle soup spots in Georgetown, so if you’re really craving a classic(-ish) bowl of lamen, then Reren is a pretty solid stop. They have a diversity of toppings, including two vegetarian choices — a buddha-style lamen soup and a spicy sesame cold noodle for the hot summer days. I’ve tried the buddha style lamen a couple of times and it’s honestly just very…average. The shiitake broth isn’t doing too much for me, and the carrots, peppers, and brussels sprouts were still crunchy, which is great in a stir fry but less ideal in noodle soups (at least for my taste). The tofu was also quite bland and seemed like it had just been plopped into the soup right before serving. As far as vegetarian noodle soups go, this one is definitely toward the bottom of my list.

The restaurant is beautiful, but if you’re looking for more of an authentic Asian cuisine experience the Chinatown spot is on a different level. The restaurant is (feels like) it’s designed to cater to college students. I went during the early afternoon, so maybe it’s different during other hours, but there is no host or waiter to take your order. You make an order online (which has an extra minor fee + reduces customization unless you talk to someone). The menu is much smaller and different than the one at Chinatown. I was content with all of the food (though the dishes were copied from the other restaurant, they weren’t as good) and the candy chicken was a miss. I would still recommend getting the ramen, soup dumplings, and the fried chicken rice bowl.

One of the best cozy and delicious places we had been in this area so far. Amazing food and everything was fresh. Will recommend it

Cute place located in Geargetown, they had enough seating and we didn’t have to reserve a table.

Great location just a few steps away from M st with a boba shop in the same building! If your looking for cute place to eat and take pictures this is it. Food was great however the ramen noodles did have a much doughier consistency than I was used which was a bit unexpected. Other than that I will def be back.

ramen/lamen was really bad not gonna lie. the poke nachos were alright. however, i think there’s too much mayo sauce. i got the soybean tempura lamen in which the description said miso soup. needless to say, there was no miso flavor. the tempura AND the noodles were very soggy. my friend has the reren signature lamen and at least the broth was a little better. but honestly, who puts kale, carrot slices, brussels sprouts in ramen???? overall, i do not recommend.

If you are looking for a good bowl of ramen, this is not the place. It’s not ramen, more like strangely flavored noodle soup.

The Service, atmosphere, and food was quite good, but I specifically ordered the most spicy thing on the menu (secret ghost fire chicken), said I love spicy food, and it had almost no spiciness that I could tell. Neither did the Kung Fu Noodles, which was also delicious, but a little disappointed in the lack of heat.

Their signature ramen is okay, but they don’t have spicy Miso and their other options are very all over the place. Most of the food we had was fine – just feels like this place is trying to do too much
