Best pupusas in town! The food here is priced below market value, so if you can’t afford a 2.99 pupusa you should probably stay home and cook, never had a bad experience here, and yes they speak English here, I don’t speak a word of Spanish and my order is taken correctly the first time, I’m posting this in response to Myrna Rodriguez post, it’s not okay to say the staff here don’t speak any English, I been going here for years and the staff does not have an issue understanding me. Lastly look at her reviews she also gives the Venice family clinic 1 stars, it’s a free clinic to less than fortunate individuals who have to choose either food or rent, if she can go out to eat she shouldn’t been using services for the undeserved individuals. The Venice family clinic is a not for profit facilities and they don’t deserve a bad review and neither does this food place.

I forgot to take pics cause I was starving but this was soooo delicious. I had the Pastelitos De Carne and 1 Cheese Pupusa with Tamarindo drink omg just too delicious! She needs to be featured on Diners Drive Ins & Dives with Guy Feiri!! Love this place I’ll be back for sure

After coming to this place multiple times. This time it was the worst. Did a phone order, I was told in 20 minutes food would be ready.. After waiting one whole hour I dediced to cancel my order. No one even bothered to say how long without me having to go to the front counter and show my long face as I was already mad.

I’ve come here several times and have never been disappointed until today. Please, I understand that we all have bad days and I get that, but here we went from guatemal to guatepior…….. First the maduros were let’s just say duros. They’re supposed to be soft and sweet. These were hard and cold. With the price of the dish I ordered either they are up to par or don’t offer them at all. So I sent back the plate and was informed all maduros would be the same, so I ask you……… Why offer them at all?????? So I opted for 2 pupusas. They came way after my husband’s already finished his caldo de res. So I eat fast and get up to pay. At the register we had a lengthy conversation as to why I’m not going to pay for something I didn’t eat. I’m flabbergasted at the lack of acknowledgement of their own shortcomings. No apology, no explanation just a huge whooping bill. So I’m explaining in Spanish why this is not kosher…….. It falls on deaf ears…… The manager is clueless. I ask if he speaks English, maybe my Spanish is not hitting the point. Nope he doesn’t speak English. Ok so I pay for what I ate and went on my way. I’m so horribly disappointed because I truly liked this place. The customer is not always right. In this case however the restaurant was not only wrong but oblivious to their mistakes. It’s a shame but it sounds like they changed chefs, managers and waitresses so like they say in “shark tank”for those reasons I’m out.

It used to be a bad-food mexican restaurant. Now Salvadorian, where the cook takes your order and serves your food! Portions are ok red salsa is more like water than tomato sauce. Another person came close to the end of our meal and ask the typical question, “todo bien” my son went to the restroom and couldn’t find it and came back to the table! I went w him and you have to go in between the kitchen and the cooler/ storage employee room! There is no renovation only painting and no decor like a plain comedor w ugly chairs like a cafeteria!
