We love coming here. My dad would bring me here to enjoy some breakfast & now I bring my son. When I ask him what he wants for breakfast he always says Rex Cafe! The coffee is always hot. The service is great. The beans used to be watery & the coffee cups were chipped & over used. However they have fixed those issues.

I guess this place is very popular for the elderly people. But for the new gen this place sucks. The place is old and smelly. Why can’t they get new water glasses all of them are chipped. Uncomfortable sitting. Order the chilaquiles and my parent some kind of beef Ranchero and pork chops. My chilaquiles were meh worst than I expect. Since the place was bad already thought the food would make up for it,but no the chilaquiles felt cold inside but the cheese hot, guess they heated up on the microwave. The carnitas were chewy and porkchops were bland. Our bill ended up being 60$ for three entrees, 2 menudos, coffee, and some pastry. I guess the price was fair, but the food and atmosphere not so much. Rather go to stripes and pick up some breakfast tacos.
