We are from Texas and our bar for Mexican food is pretty high. We try to stay away from it outside of TX. But this place exceeded our expectations. It was closer to authentic, traditional Mexican food. Everything we had was good and the prices absolutely can’t be beat.

Great food. Large portions. Drinks are very flavored with the right amount of alcohol . We were here from Texas and will definitely return if we pass through again. Isreal was our waiter/bartender and everything else needed. He was awesome and patient with us (7 hungry humans ) This place is a must to visit. Highly recommend

Just like any other Mexican restaurant, nothing too special. Our waiter didn’t speak English that well and never checked on us (no refill on drinks, didn’t bring extra napkins, how’s the food, nada). I think his name is Ishmael. They have gluten hidden inside their food. My friend and I went and we had a reaction. Make sure you ask and make you speak Spanish when you go. The restaurant is the driveway right before AppleBees and hidden in the back, off the main road. The floor was clean, but our booth seats were dirty, that’s not covid clean to me. No masks required to enter or leave. Go hungry because everything is super sized.

Stopped in at Reyes for a very late lunch or early dinner. So many choices on the menu that it took us a while to decide so we got the choriqueso appetizer to start. So good!! I got the fajita quesadilla with chicken, avocado, grilled onions and peppers while my husband got the jalapeno shrimp nachos! Both meals were excellent! And the margaritas were awesome; watermelon for me and icy blue for my husband. All in all, a wonderful, yummy meal and service was always with a smile! Great job, y’all!!

I had to evacuate from New Orleans in the aftermath of hurricane Ida and ended up staying in Laurel. The first thing I wanted after eating peanut butter crackers for like 5 days straight was some delicious Mexican food. This place is wonderful! I ordered the burrito cowboy and bloody Mary’s. BEST bloody Mary’s ever and the food was delicious, too. The service was also great. I’m gonna go back to eat here again before I go back home! 🙂

I had came here and ordered the parillada for 2 and it wasn’t the best I’ve ate(compared to papitos parillada) but the staff was extremely friendly . My daughter ordered a quesadilla and her food looked very appetizing. I would have gave 3 stars for the food but the staff was so friendly and polite that I just couldn’t go lower than 4 stars due to this.
