First time in and will definitely be back. Prices are a little higher than the other Mexican restaurants in cookeville, however with the quality and atmosphere it’s definitely worth the few extra dollars! Great salsa and chips while you wait for your food. HUGE menu selection, even a great vegetarian selection which was nice to see. Will return!

First time visitors for lunch. Service was friendly and attentive. Ordered chicken fajitas and shrimp tacos which were seasoned well and quite good. Enjoyed the homemade hot sauces which are provided upon request. Very enjoyable visit.

Food is ok. I had Diabla shrimp. It is not spicy at all. Shrimp was cooked well. I did not care for the guacamole on the appetizer menu. It is diced up everything and it is really truly not guacamole.. waitress did an excellent job very attentive, but not overly so. Question is is what I go back maybe

This is a great little Mexican place with fantastic food! I ordered the authentic tacos with al pastor meat and they were fabulous. Everything we ordered had good flavor and seasoning. The salsa is thick and just a little spicy but not too much. Great, speedy service as well as clean and colorful in the restaurant.

First time at Rey’s today, and I was really impressed. They were very accommodating by making me a vegan version of their Burrito Vegetariano. The green sauce was excellent. Their salsa was great. The guacamole ranchero was really fresh. They also have outdoor seating!

Rey is an amazing owner. I really loved the food and the wonderful hospitality that was given. The food was so good and the drinks were amazing . I have lived here in Cookeville for about 5 years and this is the first time at Rey’s. I had the best experience at his restaurant and I will definitely be going back. The servers are amazing as well. Me and my family went for Mother’s Day and everyone enjoyed their self’s and said they will go back as well. Thank you so much Rey for the great hospitality. This was the greatest Mexican authentic food I’ve had in a long time. Also they have a patio which is relaxing and really nice area to enjoy your food.

I would say we have found our favorite Mexican restaurant! The homemade sangria is a favorite! The service is always great. We had Emily she was very sweet. Food was delicious I got the veggie burrito and added the Cali veggies. It was HUGE, come hungry or prepare for a box. The portions are huge. It was full of flavor! We will definitely be back! I would have a picture but I devoured it before I remembered to do a review haha

Food is fresh, chips are the best! Always hot, Chips are my favorite item there! Beans and ground beef need some flavor, like some hotness however ,rice is excellent! Server is always nice, and gwtw whatever we want in timely manner.
