This restaurant was right next to the hotel we stayed at and didn’t feel like driving again once we checked into the hotel, so we just walked over. We were pleasantly surprised. We expected just like bar food, but it was all very good. We had the She Crab soup, Grilled oysters and the Club sandwich. We very much enjoyed it all. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly. And was always checking on us without bothering us. If you wonder if you should give them a try, we would highly suggest it.

I have ordered nachos twice now. Once eat-in and once pick-up. The flavor of the pork and the beans is great. The portions of those are also great. But the cheese is a single layer on top with literally no cheese at the bottom. Nachos implies cheese on all layers.

Delightful food and service. Our waitress was on point! She was able to give us her opinion on just about everything we asked about on the menu. The wings were delicious and juicy . Nice portioned plates. New Yorkers don’t play about our food and this place did NOT DISAPPOINT. Great atmosphere and the cleanest women’s bathroom I’ve ever experienced lol I’m thankful and appreciative.

Meh. My husband liked his BBQ sandwich. I ordered the Asian salad and was very disappointed. I wanted a healthy option but they soak the Ramen noodles and cabbage in some dressing (way too much), which made them very soggy. Didn’t even add the dressing that I ordered on the side. Tried to pick around most of the mush to just eat the chicken and lettuce. Ordered she crab soup – very salty on no lumps of crab to be found. Very disappointed. I will go back, however, and maybe try the steamed shrimp next time.

They have a “Carolina BBQ” sandwich on their menu. It’s not Carolina BBQ, instead it’s closer to a sloppy Joe. Thick red sweet sauce with a little shredded pork. There is no way to taste the meat through the thick sauce.

Burger was amazing. Ordered takeout and while waiting every server walking by asked if I had been helped– even the owner (or manager). Super friendly and diligent staff (although it could have been because I was waiting with my 5lb Chihuahua). Pup loved the burger as well and wants to go back tomorrow. Thanks!

Thus by far, is my favorite food establishment in the Central Virginia area. Rhett’s menu has so many different dishes that consume your taste buds instantly. One of my personal top favorites is their duck dinner but so many other options fall very closely in line. Known for amazing seafood dishes which are hard to get thus far inland. I’d definitely give a 10 out of 10 stars overall rating. Excellent job!
