Definitely under new management. Extra side cost almost $7.00!!!! Unreal, and plus it’s not even a full container. Cheap cheap cheap. Seems like it’s my own folks that took over the place and they are already getting over. Needs to go back to the original owners. I guess I’ll be going to the New location of Taste of seafood in the BX. Owners are awesome and the serving size is huge. Awesome. Customer service and they don’t skimp off their side orders.

It’s our second time here. The people behind the counter are always welcoming and friendly. We ordered the chicken, rib and shrimp combo w/ mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious. Their BBQ sauce reminds me of the one at Sea World (used to exist in white plains but sadly long gone now).

Truly an amazing experience from start to finish. Had the pleasure of trying out the Ribs and BBQ Chicken; not only did the meat fall right off the bone due to tenderness but within each bite felt an explosion of flavors. Can see the time and love they put into serving each customer. Mashed potatoes make a fantastic side dish and the homemade cornbread will leave a strong impression of real southern cuisine. Will certainly be visiting again! Thank You!!

Stopped in on a whim left with a full stomach and a grin. The chicken and ribs lunch special was really tasty. The sauce was mild but the meat was hot. The interior ambiance was stark but the service was good. Overall, I am happy to have found this place and will be returning next time I am in the neighborhood. Well done.

Once a Place has New Management Everything Else Starts To Crumble With The Previous Owners Everything Was Perfect Now You Have New Owners and It’s not what I expected 1st And Formost i feel like I was Over Charged and When I placed my order over the phone I specifically said I wanted extra BBQ Sauce on the Ribs and Chicken When I go to pick up my order I asked the young lady at the Register did they put The Extra Sauce She Said It wasn’t Indicated on the Receipt So they Wanted to Charge Me an Additional $.50 Per Cup Of Sauce This Wouldn’t had Happen With The Previous Owners It Sucks that After Coming Here For So Many Years Now I have to Find a New BBQ Spot

Where do I start? The owner HELEN and the staff are beyond rude! The staff is comprised of mostly the owners family members so don’t expect them to be fired or reprimanded at all. The only person to give excellent customer service is ANDREA and I think that she was fired for no reason at all which also says a lot about this place. There is also a young person who charges himself tips when you call in with your card. It has also been brought to my attention that the owner HELEN offered to pay a back of house employee only $12/hr which is highly illegal if I’m not mistaken. Not to mention that she keeps a portion of her staff’s tips as if she is entitled to them. They only clean that place properly when they think that they are about to have an inspection. It is such a shame that this place has gone to where it is now, compared to the good food and service that it used to have. Save your money and go to a place that actually values their customers and employees that aren’t family members.

Best meal I’ve had in awhile. Bought a car nearby at the Honda dealership and was there so long I got hungry. Wow, was lucky to be in walking distance of this place. Absolutely delicious.
