Queue Taps, what was once great is now gone. So sad. New ownership. The new owners have painted the interior entirely red which is so off putting, changed the menu, removed everything related to the old owners. Even the wall menu shown in previous review pictures is gone. No more fish. No more chicken. They said kitchen staff remained, but there’s no way they could be true.

I was excited to try this new-to-me BBQ joint. Carryout only, was very busy on this particular Sunday evening. I got a Pork Rib dinner. Ribs were cooked about right, nice smokey flavor, but SMOTHERED in a sweet sauce. Why so much sauce if your meat is tasty? 2 sides ( I got Collard Greens and Macaroni & Cheese). Greens lacked much flavor, had to search for any meat. Mac and Cheese equivalent of Stoffers. Good, but not great.

The whole family enjoyed their meals! From the babies to the adults.. Were ordered rib meals, smothered pork chop meal and Turkey wing meal! The owner was very helpful & patient with helping us decide on what to order. The food didn’t take too long everything was perfectly hot and tasty. My husband and I finally agreed on something & for sure it was the fact that this was thee BEST juicy perfectly seasoned Turkey wing! Finally somebody brought soul food out here

This isn’t Carolina or Memphis or Texas BBQ …. ITS DETROIT ALL THE WAY! Think of going to Eastern Market when little restaurants/butchers neighbors would bring out the steel barrel BBQ’s toss in a bag of Kingsford & start the magic!! Smell that makes my mouth water to this day! That’s the flash back I had on my first bite of Vernons (the amazing owner) ribs!! ❤ ordered whole slap of ribs (HUGE RACK)dinner w/greens & Mac & cheese & 4 piece fried chicken dinner w/yams & green beans. Came with some of the best cornbread ever! Ended with Banana pudding/ peach cobbler. Soo good!! Skip the chain restaurants & order from Ribs & Soul… your taste buds will thank you!!

They are under new ownership and the food was disgusting honestly. The styrofoam my food came in was melted like it had been heated in a microwave, no flavor to the food but the meat was COLD but warm like it had been heated in a microwave as well! The Mac however was decent honestly. The peach cobbler was the worst! I waited over an hour to receive the food I called in for. I was informed someone would call me when my order was ready and didn’t receive a call until I CALLED to confirm if it’s ready! Placed on hold for almost 10 minutes. I definitely miss the old owners.

First time here on Sunday and let’s just say the owner is so pleasant and down to earth. But off the food!!!!! When we got home we couldn’t wait to eat! The ribs were amazing sauced well! Mac and cheese was delicious along with greens and yams and cornbread. My husband had a side of perch and he was so happy! But that peach cobbler- whew so so so good! This is a great soul food place and me and teh hubs yet wil be back soon! Thank u again and please everyone come out to support small business!

We recently moved to Harrison Township and we have had a difficult time finding good food out this way but that was not the case with Ribs & Soul. Customer Service over the phone was great. My husband picked up the food and said it was very clean inside. As for the food it was perfect! The perch was just right and all of the sides. The peach cobbler was perfect! We will definitely be back soon.
