Visiting Boston, of course you go for Italian. Ex NY’er here. The north end eateries are as good, maybe better than what I’m used to in NY (The Yankees still rule but we can argue later over a cannoli).

The food was excellent but our server Tommy was the highlight of our visit! Super attentive and personable. Took care of explaining smaller kid portions and made my mom feel comfortable despite her difficulty hearing things. Lasagna was very good, rich with whipped ricotta. Octopus app, rack of lamb, meatballs and spinach salad were all raved about. Highly recommend.

My partner and I decided to split Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, which was a great choice as the portion size was large enough to feed both of us. The gnocchi was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection. To wash down our meal, we ordered two espressotinis which were also delicious. Overall, I found the prices at Ricardo’s Ristorante to be very reasonable for the amount of food we received.

I absolutely Love the North End. This place always has a crowd. We tried it and found the food to be lacking flavor. Their sauce is in need of some help, it taste like something out of a can. The pasta was over cooked. The wine selection is descent and the bread is fresh. As I looked around the restaurant, many people did not finish their dinners. The food was left on the plate. Who does that in the North End? We were excited to try this place and left here disappointed. The restaurant is really loud!!!

An excellent experience with authentic and well-executed cuisine. The atmosphere was impeccable and we were even able to enjoy a bit of opera while we dined.

My friends and I went to get a late dinner for a fun night out. We received our drinks at the table and the waiter started picking up our drinks once he realized we were just getting salads. He grabbed our drinks away without an explanation and said that salads don’t count as dinner and we needed to buy a pasta dish. He raised his voice and told us we needed to leave unless we got a real “dinner” that was not salads. This is by far the worst experience I’ve EVER had at a restaurant and it was the most un professional waiter. Not only did he try to kick us out for getting salads but grabbed our drinks away without an explanation. I will absolutely never be going back here and I recommend that no one spends their money on this restaurant.
