Can’t beat the home cookin’ small town feel. Grilled Chicken over White Rice and steamed veggies was . Chicken Fried Chicken was awesome, seasoned perfectly. The burger was great and very good. Wait staff was really good as well. Very welcoming place.

The food was absolutely delicious and wonderfully priced! Our waitress was very sweet and as accommodating as possible (there was only two of them). So delicious! Will be back!

We go on Friday night for the fried catfish and shrimp. Their cole slaw is the best in the county. Everything is always great.

Absolutely great breakfast and service. Elizabeth was excellent and very attentive. We got the blueberry pancakes and the a la mexicana plate with a side of bacon. Everything had great flavor. You will have to wait a bit, because everything is cooked fresh. It’s so worth it. We will be back.

Great food! A little out of the way but always busy! They give you a soup appetizer.

Rice Cafe is a charming little hole in the wall, thanks to the talents of the cook, Hilda. You always get a little cup of the soup of the day when you’re seated. Breakfast is great—pecan pancakes and chilaquiles are a standout—and lunch is solid; try the crispy chicken strips, either on a salad or as a basket. Hilda’s yeast rolls are also excellent. Taxidermy décor thanks to the business next door. Rice Cafe is also the great ethnic/class equalizer, you’ll see everyone local from tired vaqueros with spurs still on to moms and babies. Highly recommended if you’re in the area! (Note: sadly not air conditioned, so order lots of iced tea.)

Hidden gem , don’t let the looks fool you! Food was perfection. Ramsey would bow to these ladies for their French toast alone.
