We had egg rolls and tried a new-to-us dish, Amazing Chicken, and Mala Chicken. The egg rolls were great- they didn’t taste like every other Chinese restaurant’s. There was a ginger aroma and taste in them that was different and flavorful. The 2 chicken dishes were good, but neither one was spicy in the least, even though they were both labeled that way. They were quite similar- both contained shredded chicken, lots of mixed vegetables, and sweet savory sauces. The Mala Chicken was more of a brown sauce, while the Amazing Chicken was quite red.

I was traveling through the area, staying at a local hotel and decided to order dinner from Rice Family. I was pleasantly surprised the the 40 minute delivery time was actually less than 30. The young man who delivered was very kind, and the food was delicious. I had a couple pieces of tuna sushi for an appetizer and a plate of sesame chicken for an entree. The chicken was not over-breaded, and it was clearly fresh, and the amount of sauce and flavor were excellent. I’m looking forward to ordering from them again next time I’m in the area. Excellent, excellent, excellent. Ordered a delivery late yesterday evening and was planning on having an egg roll and saving the meal and soup for lunch, but when I opened the Hot Lover’s Chicken (C13) and tasted it, I couldn’t stop and finished the entire meal. Savored every last bite!
