Korean food with a small twist! I highly recommend giving this place a try. House smoked meats laid on top of Ricewoods bed mixture of rice (scallions, tomatoes, soy sauce vinaigrette) with a choice of your meat. I also suggest choosing Mild heat over Spicy, because… it is spicy. I ordered Pork belly deluxe rice bowl. The Bomb Deluxe (sesame cucumber, red cabbage slaw, house made Kim chi, chili crisp, and pickled red onions) is a choice of an add on. Did I mention that they make their own Kim chi!?!?!? Which is AMAZING! Their portions are HUGE! Definitely earning your buck$ for all the food you get. All in all eat the food.

I’m from Texas and take my brisket very seriously and Ricewood did not disappoint. I was happily surprised. Brisket quality and quantity was great. Waffle fries were perfectly crispy. Very happy.

Finally got to try Ricewood last night when my husband and I made it to York for dinner and drinks! Ricewood is located right when you walk into York. Despite being busy, they had our food ready fairly quickly and we were able to sit down inside York and enjoy it. We tried the Pulled Pork sandwich and were blown away with the flavor profile of the sandwich. The tender meat, sweet bbq sauce, and delicious special chipotle sauce they drizzled on top was all mouthwatering. We will definitely be back to try more of their extensive menu!

We loved the food here. The brisket runs out about 4pm most days. You should come for lunch if you want the brisket sliced, not chopped (aka the last couple pieces). I love the flavors and although the line can get pretty long, it moves very quickly! The guy taking our order was so fun and helpful. I will absolutely be back soon.

I placed a catering order for my husband’s 60th for brisket. When I went to call in my payment on the day of party at 11:30 AM, I was told they can’t fulfill my order due to power being out since Wednesday! The manager then told me I should have received an email. I told him I had not and this deserves a more personable approach to be sure I am aware. I did look and found an email that was sent at 8:34 AM the day of my party. Now, I understand it is unfortunate to have no power, but I do think I should have more than six hour notice before guests are arriving to prepare an alternate food plan. When I finally got to talk to the owner, he was very apologetic, but I think I deserve a little more than an apology. I asked him to tell me what he thought would be a reasonable solution. He then asked me so I told him the guest at my party said he should offer my order to me. He said he would not do that, and ended the conversation by calling me rude! It truly is sad that this is an acceptable way to treat customers. The food at Ricewood is good, but the care of the customer definitely is NOT!

Some of the best bbq in Ann Arbor area with an Asian-fusion twist in the form of its rice bowl creations. Don’t worry that isn’t your thing, because they also offer meats by the pound. It’s all very good. The ribs were perfectly cooked (bite tender but not falling off the bone) and the pork belly was fabulous. It can be very hard to find parking and seats at this location of you go during lunch time but it’s worth the effort.

Amazing Restaurant! Placed a catering order for a holiday party at work. The customer service was great everybody I spoke with was very pleasant, especially Emma she was very helpful and worked with me through trying to figure out what the best option was for my party. Definitely the best BBQ in the city hands down!

I love ricewood. I always get the pork belly bowl. I’m mainly writing this review to applaud all the staff. The York location can get busy but i never wait more than 10 min. They are always quick and so very friendly. At both locations they always have a great energy! Check them out!!
