Like walking into your favorite Grandma’s kitchen! Plenty of tasty, comforting selections served with good portions and reasonable prices. The staff was welcoming and happy to see you. Dining area was clean and well used. Really enjoyed the meal.

I entered Richard’s Cafe, hoping to quench my southern food thirst. I looked at the food choices, and I wasn’t sure if I was looking at chocolate syrup or gravy based entrees. I ended up choosing the turkey wings. it seems the only gravy dish that didn’t have that chocolate syrup appeal to it. Corn and sweet potatoes were my sides of choice. The corn had a flavor like it was spoiled but mixed with fresh corn. The sweet potato was from the can, but it was pretty tasty. The chopped turkey wings in gravy weren’t bad but were severely overcooked. I probably will never patron Richard’s Cafe again, but I wanted to share my experience.

These ladies cook country meals like my mother and grandmother fixed. Their main ingredients stir a little love it each and every pot. TY for placing a smile on my 90yo mom with the meals you prepare. Again, these women are moms serving up love. I tip 15% on my takeout and 20% if we eat in. That’s nothing for the great food prepared and served with such love, so be sure and compliment these ladies bc the job they do is equal to your moms duties in the kitchen.

I looovvvveeeeed it. I’m working here I’m from Houston. The food was so good I thought I was back in my granny kitchen. The lovely women here are so friendly and helpful. I’m not sure if it’s family owned but they sure felt like family. If you are in beaumont try them. Don’t think about it just do it.

My o my where do I start this was the grade a best soul food I have had in forever. The portion was what like grandma’s on Sunday know what I’m talking about big and the taste bring that head here and let me slap it… I had the smoothed pork chops with gravy over rice , mixed greens,pinto beans .. if you in Beaumont Tx and want your money worth and taste good and your belly full please I beg you go dine in or take it home but you must try the best soul food I believe right now in SouthEast Texas ❤️❤️❤️
