Went to Richard’s 4pm 7/23/23 no other cars in the parking lot and nobody inside. They were filling a large order that was called in. No problem. Placed our order 2 hot dogs everything and order of fries salt and ketchup. 3 other people came in after us and placed large orders cheesestaeaks, nuggets, burgers, fries and shakes. No problem. Those people got their food and were leaving. We said where’s our food we’ve been her 20-25 minutes girl throws her hands in the air and says I don’t know I’m not making the food. She took our order…. the guy filling the order says we’re very busy short staffed don’t you see us filling a big order. Yup… but you filled all these orders after us and they’ve left. Where’s ours? He’s still yelling about filling orders and being stressed out… we asked for our money back as he’s still yelling how busy and short staffed they are. The gentleman from the back walks out and asks what did we order. We told him and he looks down and on the counter near the register laid our order… she never gave it to the guy yelling… We’ve been coming here our whole lives and know the kids who are the owners now. Never had an issue even when they were busy and there’s only normally the same amount of people working… 4.

Messed up my simple order up two times. Turned around to get the correct sandwich, bc they gave an fish sandwich and not a sausage, then got home to a plain cut-up sausage on bread( why cut up? Never did that before) then I call and they hang up on me, call again and the manager/owner idk, tells me ” I swear he put relish on it” no, I wouldn’t say it was plain if it wasn’t plain. Whole thing felt like I want my money back and give me my correct order and I won’t go back after this. I’ve stayed away from here from past experiences but this was extra icky with the now 3 trips to get 1 single sandwich order.

Richards has a current rating of 4.5, and it’s hard to see any reason for this other than nostalgia. I witnessed a cashier handle money, touch raw meat, wipe down a counter, and then proceed to touch cooked food without replacing gloves.
