First timer here. Everyone has told me this is the greatest place for a grinder in western mass. Coming from a a guy who grew up 5 minutes from Franklin Avenue in Hartford, I was extremely disappointed.

Today was my first visit to the Westfield location as I’m closer to the West Springfield one. I picked up a chicken salad wrap and some Cucumber ranch (my favorite) pasta salad. The register/order taker was very pleasant and efficient. The only issue I had was that the chicken salad was slightly on the dryer side, and the woman even mentioned to me that that was the case (I appreciated the openness and honesty). I have never had an issue with anything I have ever purchased from there. The food is always fresh and out fairly quickly, depending of course on the time of the day. To be fair, they are super busy at lunchtime (West Springfield location). Their prices are fairly reasonable. Both locations have do seating areas.

Never been here before but decided to order their catering service for 70 people. Food was great no order issues plenty of food to cover the event. Sausage and peppers was a big hit. Honey glazed chicken seemed to be plain unseasoned chicken thighs.. like no honey glaze no salt.. still would order again the price is amazing as well.

The bread was fantastic. I’ll try them again based on that and the value of their menu prices. But my cold cut (just ham and salami, didn’t come with mortadella or pepperoni) was unbearably salty. I couldn’t even eat half of it without needing to put it down. The provolone cheese was sliced so thin you would never know it was on there. I would need to order extra cheese next time to actually taste it. Also i’ve never heard of pasta e fagiola soup without ground beef. But it had little slices of pepperoni or shaved steak or something in it. very weird and unexpected. i’ll go again for the bread but will try something different like a turkey or roast beef or chicken salad grinder. service was fast and friendly. service, value, and that soft soft grinder roll gets 3-stars. Will review again next time.

Twice a year I fly across the country for meetings in Westfield and we usually have Richard’s Grinders for a catered lunch and after every meeting they ask if we want something different next time and everybody says that they are very happy with Richard’s. I love the tuna wrap and the pasta salad is one of my favorites that I have ever had!

Richard’s Grinders catered my wife’s 50th birthday celebration. We had about 60 people. I honestly lost count of how many people came up to me and asked where the food was from because it was so good! I seriously can’t say enough good things about the catering service Richard’s Grinders offers! The ordering, delivery and setup, the customer service, the price…ALL OUTSTANDING!!!
