First off, the billboards all up and down the hwy worked. Rich’s famous burgers are located in a cute old downtown district. Pretty plain decor, lots of big screen TVs, but rich in flavors. Choose one of their special burgers, or opt to build your own. There are many other options as well. The deserts sound amazing also.

This is a great place to get you fill of tasty Missouri classics like fried cheese curds and toasted ravioli.

Recommended! I NEEDED a burger. Traveling on I44 I saw several billboards advertising this place. I decided to check out the location in St. James. Upon my arrival, commercial trucks were not allowed to park on the street across from the restaurant. I went around the block…no problem. As I entered I was greeted by Nikki and Payton, seated by Payton in the large room to the left in solitude. Everyone else was in the front dining area laughing and having a great time, there was plenty of room for me. I asked Payton why she was seating me away from Everyone else, she stated I looked like I might be a problem, and then quickly seated me up front with everyone else. Nikki was my server, and was just as friendly as Payton. I got picked on throughout the meal. I had a sweet tea, cheese curds (which I had never had before, it turns out this is the same thing as mozzarella sticks), bacon and bleu cheese 1/2 pound burger with onion rings, and a piece of warm butter cake? My favorite part of the meal were the onion rings along with the interactions with Nikki and Payton. The burger comes as stated on the menu, if you want a pickle or mayo etc. You need to ask for it. Will be back, next time with supervision…aka my beautiful bride of 30 years.

This place is definitely a gem if you like real burgers. I’ve had burgers from all over the world (Russia, UK, Germany, and many places in the US). These are some of the best ones! Yes, simple, but SO good!

Had lunch there today and it was delicious! My 6 yr old said it was definitely a 5 star restaurant and gave it a 10 outta 10. Our waiter was amazing! Food came out fast and hot. We had no complaints.

This was our first trip to Rich’s, someone recommended it to my fiancé. Upon first arrival I could tell this was going to be a great visit. Brittany was our server. She was so wonderful, great personality. We ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger, Brittany suggested grilled onions added on the burger and she brought us this sauce to put on the burger. I dipped one of my fries in the sauce, just to try it, it was wonderful. We told Brittany how wonderful it was. She told us some of her customers call it the “Brittany Burger”. I recommend the owner put it on the Menu as the “Brittany Burger”. Like I said this was our first visit but definitely will not be our last. Brittany thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will ask for you next time.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The portion of food is tremendous and you can not beat the price for the amount of food you get! Now I’m going to get brave and try the peanut butter and jam burger before I leave this state!

I guess it is my fault for ordering something besides a burger at a place supposedly famous for them. But I ordered the BLT with fries and my husband ordered the chicken strips. The chicken was fine and our fries were really good but my BLT was pretty awful. For what ever reason the Texas toast was way over buttered and not very toasted, to make things worse they wrap it up in foil which only made the bread that much more disgusting. I ended up eating the bacon off the sandwich. Bonus point for hot fries and chicken.

We had heard that Rich’s Famous Burgers was in town, but we hadn’t gotten a chance to dine there until a few days ago. The food was excellent! The fresh, instead of frozen, hamburger was just the right thickness and the flavor was great! The fries are good enough to make a meal just out of them! Rich’s puts the fast-food restaurants to shame!! Having their location just a few blocks from our house is an added plus.
