I really wanted to love this place. Based on the wonderful smells coming from the pit and the excellent reviews i was sure we were in Hog heaven. Not so unfortunately. The tiny portion of pulled pork was not in the least flavorful nor delicious. Apparently other reviewers have not experienced good bbq. Saving grace wasthe twiced baked potato. Overpriced ripoff. There are better choices in the area. The prices at this inconvenient bbq shack are outrageous. When a can of soda cost $1.99, you get the idea. Want a meal? Bring a fat wallet. And leave the family at home, you won’t be able to afford feeding everyone ! Oh is your sandwich alittle dry ? That will be .50 for sample sized side of sauce. . What a joke. Never again

BBQ is good, and the sides dishes are decent. I do wish they’d add southern green beans to their menu, although I’ve hoped in vain for many years now. It’s definitely a “dive” but the food is pretty good and they sure aren’t pretentious.

i’m sure the food is delicious i don’t ever leave bad reviews, but my wife and i came here they said they basically didn’t have anything left at the end of the day that they had to order more etc….. they told us we’d have to call and ask them to save us whatever we wanted to order and to me its crazy we even have to do that and the service is kinda snooty my wife and i passed and went some where else.

Ricks BBQ is one of those don’t blink or you might miss it spots on the way to LBL . The staff is super friendly and well the food is lets just say, worth the stop. Its the freshest most tender bbq you can get around here and they always have a different desert to try out that is always worth it.
