My husband and I have been looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak since we moved here 5 years ago and we finally found it! As Philly natives every place we went to was very disappointing but ricks is truly authentic! They use real amaroso rolls and don’t put any extras on the actual sandwich, exactly how it’s supposed to be! The service was great and everyone working was super nice. We will definitely be returning!

We arrived to have lunch. The guy that took the orders was nice. I asked for wipes for the table and wiped it down. The food was good. However while we were eating lunch the inspector walked in and the guy behind the counter turned off the open signs and was not taking any more customers for the day. I do know what happened but we left. I’m visiting from out of town. We didn’t get sick or anything afterwards.

These are some amazing cheesesteaks, there’s no denying that. But if you’re in the mood for Rick’s, call ahead and place your order in advance. There is always a lengthy wait, and the last time I was there we waited for our food for almost 40 minutes for a to go order. A few people actually asked for refunds and left. Just order your food in advance to save yourself a headache and enjoy the food. Plus they offer military discounts as well as local Newport News Shipbuilding discounts.

The food was good. I ordered a cheesesteak, fries, mozzarella sticks and a drink. I asked for a little bit of green peppers, banana peppers and hot peppers. They didn’t have sweet peppers which is a must have for me. The cheesesteak was okay. I would of preferred all the peppers were cooked and chopped into the meat. When I took a bite of the sandwich all I tasted was cold peppers. The restaurant is clean and good customer service.

Great tasting cheesesteaks – as good as other location but sometimes a bit slower for orders at lunchtime since they get a lot of take out orders. Cheesesteaks are huge – always buy the large (if you can’t eat it all, save half for lunch the next day)

First time ordering from DoorDash. My order was quick and sub was hot. Outside of the bread being too soggy on the other side, it was good. Loots of meat. I added lettuce, green peppers, and onions to mine.

The food might be great, but the state of the restaurant is unacceptable. Shoes literally stick to the floor, liquid stains on the wall, smell is horrible, water damage in the ceiling, chairs and tables falling apart.

Absolutely horrible. will never order again. my whole family’s order was ruined. they forgot several items of our order. the food was still bad. unseasoned and bland. we drove across the country for some food and the service was terrible. our order was simple and they completely altered the course of our night. I don’t know how one can forget something as simple as salad dressing but i’m highly disappointed.
