I really enjoyed the DDD Sampler. The soft shell crab had a good flavor but I would have like tomatoes etc on it. I personally didn’t like the hush puppies or the alligator because there was way too much pepper for me. There are picnic tables under a big shade tree with a nice mural to look at.

Great food (despite high prices). Cajun-themed options, plus all day breakfast and sky-high (tall) tricked out burgers with all the fixins! They don’t serve tap water, so when you ask for “just water” be prepared to shell out over two bucks. Food is good enough, I’ll probably go back.

Loved it! Rick was there. Greeted everyone and made sure everyone was happy with their food. The food was delicious. We got a sampler platter so we could try a variety and it was all fantastic

Cajun comfort food found right here at Rick’s! As seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, you’ll have the taste of Louisiana right here at Frankfort and the promise of a very ‘divey’ diner with quirky decor. They do specials and if you follow them on Facebook they will post updates on pastries they will be making for the day. They do sell apparel and bottled up local honey. They buy all their meats from coastal states and you’ll find food products are non GMO and real butter. Right now during Covid, two tables are open for dine in but they do offer outdoor seating weather permitting and curbside pick up.

I read about a Rick’s a few years ago now, before I moved to Kentucky, and added it to my “must go” list. My husband and I drove past it a few times over our first year here without even recognizing it, it’s so tiny!

Sat outside due to road construction in front of business. Service was good & fast. Had the oyster po boy. Was okay, on the small side for $17.95. Construction has a major impact on the restaurant & continues for months making it almost inaccessible.

Amazing flavor. Don’t go here for BBQ, go there for that amazing New Orleans cooking! I had the eggs Benedict with grits and étouffée, simply prefect. My husband had the diners dive in sampler and it was good but pricey for the portions he received. I would still recommend. If they happen to have the bread pudding, get it!!!

What a joke. I’ve never wasted money like this. $18 a plate and just a tiny bit of food, LITERALLY $18 for what you see in that picture. Don’t waste your time. Oil soaked overcooked hush puppies. Flavorless potatoes. Grits were congealed slop. Don’t even get me started on the bread. A po boy should be on fresh French bread, I’m almost certain they were using ciabata bread. That’s twice I’ve been totally disappointed by a DDD restaurant. Won’t happen again. As a New Orleans native, this place was terrible.

Cool spot right over the bridge. Saw em on Guy Fieri’s show and glad we checked it out. Foods great, people are nice, great vibe.

This is a great Dive! Find cooked fresh before your eyes by owner and his daughter is the waitress. Seating limited in cooler weather. Their breakfast was great as well as conversation with the owner!
