Riko’s Pizza is exactly the kind of bar atmosphere we were looking for on a Sunday in November. Games on the TV, little kids playing in the back room, and some of the best gluten free hot oil pizza I have ever had. The thin crispy but chewy crust, the tangy but not to sweet sauce, the cheese has just enough flavor to bring it all home. I loved ever bite.

First timer at Riko’s and WOW, AMAZING CRUST, toppings also very good! Pies only come in one size and are a bit on the small/medium range, cut in six slices. By the time I finished first piece I had to ask myself the hard-hitting question “Is this better than Colony?” Tough call! Prob deserves a blind taste test. I do question the claim written on their box “Home of the Hot Oil Pizza”. I’m not a Stamfordite but know that’s highly questionable/ or maybe just better marketing… hmmm. Will be back!

Some of the best thin crust. Their salad pies are unique and their hot oil slice is delicious. Order at least 1 pie for 2 people, that will satisfy but most can eat one pie alone and be stuffed, they’re about medium size in comparison to most places. Service is great and takeout it fast. If you order a salad pie ask for dressing on the side or for them to go lite, sometimes it makes the crust a little soggy and this crust is best crispy.

Very disappointed. I have been coming to Rikos for years. Today we came to eat outside with our 2 dogs – not to mention the seating is literally out on the sidewalk – and we were told dogs weren’t allowed – Only service dogs – EVEN OUTSIDE! I can understand if we we went inside but we didn’t enter the restaurant and asked to be seated outside. This is really unacceptable. Stamford is a very dog friendly city and can bring dogs pretty much everywhere that has outdoor seating. Let me mention we had a 4 month old golden retriever puppy and a 3lb small dog. Not dogs that were misbehaved or threats to the staff or customers. We walked down to Amore and had a great meal where they even offered to bring out water for the dogs. Get with the times Rikos. Extremely disappointed.

Stopped here after a friend recommended this restaurant. Roger who manages this Rikos location, was excellent and very helpful and made our experience here great. We even decided to bring home a few pizzas, which we can say were tasty. Great location, exceptional service and great experience.

The pizza is good. TakeOut Service is hit or miss. Maybe 75% of the time I order takeout, the person at the counter is polite and attentive. Rest of the time, they won’t acknowledge my presence because they are on the phone or computer. I get to stare at them and see my name on my order behind them. (They are not the same people.)
