My husband turned me onto this place when he brought it home for dinner one day. Portions are nice in size. Today, I stopped in for lunch and ordered a Cuban sandwich. The food is fresh and I am glad I came here, delicious!! The steady flow of people for dining in and picking up to-go orders is surprisingly good at 3pm.

I come here all the time, I know the owners they are actually neighbors of mine and good people. Food is constantly good. Therefore my rating is a solid 5 star. However, I will say I walked in today and was met with a new owner (new to me) not sure what her name was. I proceeded to put in a request, just wanted some fried eggs with my food. She stated that wasn’t possible because the flat top was already cleaned (I guess profit isn’t a priority to her). She could have easily instructed the cook in the back who is being paid to cook lol to fry up some eggs on a pan with some oil. It wasn’t busy, and in the end I am customer bringing business to you. I have never had an issue with the other owner Joseph, specially over such a simple request.

First time. What you’re looking at is my half-filled empanada, couple of beans out of the entire liquid-filled side container, undercooked rice, and a FEW pieces of pork that aren’t JUST fat. This was incredibly disappointing on portion size, especially for the price. The stewed chicken dinner was just as skimpy. I’ll stick to Lelo’s in Orange City.

Everything was hot when delivered thanks to Ashley my Uber delivery driver and the pork was cooked to perfection and flavor was on point. first time for the Yucca. Not a fan they are very much like potatoes so I will add flavoring to them and make them to my liking. LOL Good over all and always enjoy the food I get from here. thanks!!

This food is terrible I ordered steak and onions with steamed veggies and sweet plantains and stewed chicken with white rice and red beans. The steak is chewy and overcooked. The veggies taste rancid the the chicken is like chewing on dry paper towels.

Best in its class in DeLand for sure. The arroz con gandules is amazing to say the least and the rotisserie chicken as well. I’ve had the roast pork shoulder (pernil) as well and I was very pleased. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Dominican/Puerto Rican restaurant in the area.

The taste is decent but the portions are small. Definitely for the price! The pulled pork is the main part of the combo meal but they just put in a small amount and part of that amount is just globs of fat! Very sad. Lilos it is for now on.!

Not even sure where to begin. I came on a Sunday around 4pm. there is only 1 sandwich, Cuban sandwich is the only sandwich they offer. Now they have their food displayed where you can see what is being offered. This is not a restaurant where you sit and they take your order. Now from what I can see the yellow rice was obviously undercooked. The white rice however, looked perfectly cooked. They didn’t have many sides to choose from. Yellow sweet banana. tostones that looked stale. steamed veggies however they didn’t look inviting. The rotisserie chicken looked good. The pork had just came out. It looked properly cooked but it looked flavorless. The rest of the meat did not look appealing. So with that being said I felt I had only one choice for my order. So I went with the cuabn sandwich. I asked for a cuban all the way. Well to my surprise their cuban is not real cuban. I was informed that it doesn’t come with lettuce nor tomato. So I asked if I could add lettuce and tomatoes. I was told no. I could order a salad and put it in my sandwich myself. I opt out. They sandwich was dry. It didn’t even have mayonnaise. The pork was bland. Worst cuban I’ve had in a long time. My 3 star review is based on the food I ordered and not on how the displayed food looked. If that’s the case I would have given them 1 star.
