This place is so good! One thing I love; They give you big and juicy shrimp and don’t up charge for seafood. The portions are really generous and the flavors are sometimes unique, sometimes familiar, and always satisfying. They have a lot of different, yummy noodle dishes. I love the bang for your buck you get with the dinner for two. Also, the staff are super friendly. It’s a great place with great food.

Great place for classic American-style Chinese food. Went for lunch and was met by very nice employees. The place is a bit sparse in decoration, but exceptionally clean! I ordered the sweet & sour chicken lunch combo, and was served a delicious, fresh tasting meal with fried rice, egg roll and soup. The entire meal, with tax, was under $9!

I decided to stop by for some Chinese food. I ordered the Hong Style Pan Fried noodles. It had char SIU, chicken bean sprouts, and onions in it. Kind of bland taste. Nex time, I’ll try one of their lunch specials. I also ordered their fried chicken wings, bland again fast and friendly service. Good American Chinese Restaurant. I have to go back again and give them another shot. Egg drop soup was ok also.

This is my new go-to Chinese food spot! The service is great. The prices are fair. And most importantly, the food is delicious! The sweet dishes aren’t quite as sweet as other Chinese food places, but I appreciate that. Their noodles are thick and yummy. I really enjoyed my Szechuan chicken and orange chicken.

First time dining at the Rising Star. Overall very pleased with our experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. They happily accommodated my request for no sweet and sour sauce on the sweet and sour chicken. Egg drop soup and hot sour soups were tasty. We ordered almond chicken and orange chicken. Both came with fried shrimp. We also ordered Kung Pao chicken that came with sweet and sour chicken (minus the sauce). The dishes were good, we ate every last bite. Would have liked a little more heat in the spicy dishes though. The orange chicken didn’t have the sweet/tang we generally expected, but was still very good. The pot stickers were delicious. The prices were very reasonable with good portion sizes. We will definitely eat there again

I wish I’d have found this place sooner! As a celiac, I don’t have many options for Asian food (and let’s face it-Pei Wei is not the greatest) I ordered beef and broccoli and did NOT get sick. I am very sensitive to gluten and hesitate to try new places. While they do not have a specific gluten free menu, they stare at the top of the menu that they can accommodate. I took both of my kids, and all loved it. The service was shockingly quick, and the amount of shrimp in my family’s dishes was generous. Will return!

This place is a must try and you will keep on coming back. The lunch and dinner menus are reasonably priced. We ordered the almond chicken and moo goo gai pan with noodles. The food portions are large and delicious. The staff are always all very friendly.

Was going to give 2 stars… but our innards objected and voted it down. Tried the orange beef and chicken fried rice. I wouldn’t have known it was orange beef in a blind test. It had a slice of orange on top which, I assume, tells me they got the order right. Otherwise, it was a strange dark red (or dark orange) color and tasted mostly like it was battered in spice cake batter. That is, it was HEAVILY spiced with cinnamon, clove, ginger, and/or nutmeg (probably nutmeg). It tasted powdery as well. No batter should feel powdery after frying. I can’t say it was an altogether bad flavor… just not like any other orange beef I’ve had. They need to move it from their “Chef’s Specialties” section to “Chef’s Travesties!” As to the fried rice, after the assault of the HEAVILY spiced beef, it was hard to tell if anything else was good or not. That is, the chicken fried rice seemed to taste of nutmeg and fish… but I doubt it really was. Not the worst Chinese I’ve ever had, but pretty close to it. Considering how it later made us ill… not worth the risk of a second chance as I often do before calling it quits on a place like this.
