At Ristorante da Maria, our story began when owner George Keshek decided to turn his vision and passion for cooking into a reality in San Jose. Since opening, we’ve been offering our community a taste of real, authentic Italian cuisine through our pizzas, pasta, and other freshly crafted dishes — all of which are made with only the highest-quality ingredients. For example, we use crande cheese, which is hormone and antibiotic free. We’re also sensitive to dietary needs, which is why our dough is vegan and we have vegan cheese and gluten-free pasta available on request. Our menu is rounded out with awesome wings, crisp salads, and all the fresh ingredients you could ever hope for.

Family friendly Italian restaurant. Customer service was top notch. Owner and manager were a pleasure to talk with. The Penne chicken Marsala was absolutely delicious! We also ordered a chicken pesto pizza, spaghetti with meatballs, and garlic knots. All were delicious and service was excellent. If you’re in the area and want Italian, you must try this place!

We were looking for a new place to eat near our friend’s house in San Jose before we hit the highway and got really lucky at Ristorante da Maria. I love lobster raviolis and order them whenever I see them, but I think that these were the best ever! The next time we came to visit our friends we picked up lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs AND lobster raviolis for everyone to enjoy.

Price is great! Options are pretty damn good. 2x we’ve gone this year and the flavors are a little more bland than I’m used to. But not terrible. Penne Chicken Marsala was okay. For to-go it was very oily and there was almost no penne past underneath. Pizza is good but I wonder how thin the Thin Crust is? Because the Original is pretty thin (but good). Garlic Knots are soft and chewy (but not very garlicky). Seems like plain bread knots with some garlic sprinkled on top (so the flavor doesnt penetrate). But they are fluffy and big so that’s nice.

When we showed up I started to have second thoughts cuz the place was empty. I got the spaghetti and meat balls, it was incredible.The prices are fair. The only down fall, the owner is the only one serving,taking phone orders and cashiering. When he’s busy on the phone or with grub hub there is no one else to help you. The grub hub orders are made quickly. The owner was very nice, I do recommend this place and will be back.

This place is absolutely wonderful! The customer service is outstanding and they make sure to attend all your needs and that your food is up to the customer’s standards. Their calzones are the best I’ve ever had, specially because the bread was so perfectly made. I really recommend this place!

i want to say this as respectfully as possible, but the food just is not good. I ordered the chicken piccata. The chicken was moist but everything else missed the par by far. It was served with penne pasta on the side and it wasn’t tossed in the sauce or anything, just plain pasta. It was super gummy and veryyyy overcooked. For an italian restaurant you would assume that the pasta is going to be al dente and the correct pasta served with the correct sauce. Penne pasta does NOT go with something light and thin like piccata. The tubes are meant to hold hearty thick sauces and for the penne to be completely naked was just

Ordered via doordash on a Tuesday night, arrived within the timeframe estimated and was still really hot! The garlic knots were cooked well and moist. Baked rigatoni was quite delicious but with paltry amounts of meat, very little. Chicken fettuccine alfredo was was pretty good, may lack a little flavor/salt but was good. Apart from the lack of meat in the dish, it was little deceiving on the order of “meatballs” as I ordered it and only received 1. Overall food was great, presentation was packed well and on point. Price was accurate for these food items.
