What a cozy, homey space! Mix a bar (now just a coffee bar) with high def TV’s, 70s music and comfy booths with mounted fish on the paneled walls and you have a notion of the space.

Wanted to try a local, new restaurant right down the road. Went for breakfast. Beautiful wood interior with a very homey feel that had me strolling about looking at everything. Waitstaff was the typical friendliness you’d expect. Had the best french toast of my life, and sampled an equally impressive chicken and waffles dish. Food presentation was as impressive as its taste. Already planning the next time I can go back. The experience was so good, it inspired me to write this; my first restaurant review… ever.

We stopped by for first time and were blown away by the hospitality of Ian(chef) and Jamie (server) and of course the food!! Love good creole flavors and this menu was full of them. The ambiance was terrific as well. Check out the Maple glazed pork chop and the Cajun blackened catfish.

Came in on last Saturday. Staff were awesome, very friendly, let my buddy attempt to find a soccer game on TV. Restaurant has a great look inside. Very clean and cozy. Food portions were amazing. Everything was delicious and great presentation to top it off. Living across the river, I know I’ll be there again with more friends.

I can’t say enough about how fantastic this place is. Great atmosphere, beautiful decor and lighting, impeccably friendly staff, and the food is second to none in this format. I had the “Kelli” which was probably the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. The picture says it all. Thank you for breakfast!

Trust me, you want to have brunch here. The staff is attentive and professional, the space is clean and comfortable, and the prices are reasonable. But the main reason to go is the food. The offerings range from your traditional omelette to really interesting takes on breakfast classics with some New Orleans style flair. My favorite (so far) is “the Jules”, which is a stuffed French toast topped with bananas Foster. Amazing!

A terrific diamond in the rough nestled down along the canal banks. Their gourmet menu will leave you more then satisfied. The Chef is very and personable and welcomes you into his establishment. Best Monte Cristo I’ve ever had!
