Great pitstop for your lunch break, specially post hanging rock hike. Great selection of subs, sandwiches, pizzas, and flatbreads. What I liked the most was that even in such a remote location, we found vegetarian options. I love that they have a “make your own” set for pizzas and flatbreads that allows you to greatly customize your food. The location is ideal, prices are reasonable, and food is delicious.

Amazing what can be done in such a small kitchen! The food, ahh the food! We had to come back it was so good! Danbury doesn’t have many food options to begin with but this restaurant would do well anywhere! Love their flatbread and my wife is sold on the French Dip! It’s become a new favorite!

My girlfriend and I stopped for lunch after a hike and I’m so happy we did! Friendly and inviting service. The food was great and simple options such as chicken salad sandwich done very well. Really enjoyed our experience and we will definitely return!

Great place! We visit this place when we ride motorcycles. It’s a great shop with a family-friendly atmosphere. The owner is always there, and they treat you like your family. I can’t wait to ride up from NC and eat a pastrami sandwich again 🙂

Great food and great service at this cafe. I had the French dip and the blueberry applesauce as the side. Both tasted incredible! Wish I lived in this area, because I would visit frequently. It is a well run family owned business. Cannot say enough good things about River Rock Cafe. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

Hands down one of my absolute favorite places to eat. I won’t lie. I probably eat here more often than I should at this point, but I. Just. Can’t. Get. Enough. They have created an absolute masterpiece of a restaurant, and at a price point, you can’t beat for the quality. To the owner: J.C. Great place to stop in for a quick, quality, satisfying lunch in Danbury. We were visiting Hanging Rock State Park and came here for lunch after a morning of hiking. River Rock was clean, the staff were friendly, and the food was filling. Good variety on the menu-I had the Rancher and my husband had the Fire Tower sandwich.

The River Rock Cafe was a great stop for lunch after a full morning at Hanging Rock State Park. The food was all made to order, bathrooms were clean, plenty of seating, and a self serve soft drink machine with my favorites, diet mountain dew and nugget ice. The pastrami I had was warm and delicious and my wife had chicken with BBQ sauce and it was tasty as well. I’d highly recommend a visit.

If you’re visiting Hanging Rock or going tubing in Danbury, this is a hidden gem! We had the Dan river club, a grilled cheese and a Reuben-all were delightful. Get the potato salad too- delicious!
