A day of shopping led to lunch in downtown Manistee at this delightful bar/restaurant on the river. We were seated immediately on their back deck overlooking the Manistee River on a sunny day. Our server was so attentive and friendly; a group of 20 came in after us and their server (Jennifer Hudson’s lookalike) was also just as attentive. If I could give them zero stars, I would. We each ordered a water. I also ordered a margarita and my dinner partner ordered a coke. The Coke and waters came quickly, but the margarita never arrived. The server took our food orders and after waiting 40 minutes, with no further acknowledgment and without ever receiving my margarita, we left. We were sitting any both directly across from the bar and clear view of the servers, and it was not busy. Three servers were there, yet they seem surprised when we said we hadn’t received our food. One then asked us if she could put our order in for us and it would be at no charge. We had ordered more than 40 minutes previous! Why was our order not put in? Needless to say, we left and went down the street where we received wonderful service.

This place does not reserve the bad reviews. The staff was very overworked, and as it got later we’re very polite, talked to us. The food was absolutely delicious and crispy along with the sides. Great waterfront view. Btw put the lime on your coleslaw, it’s life changing.

Long wait for soggy cold food. My kids got burgers and the buns we’re soaking wet. I got loaded fries and they were still frozen and the bacon was raw. Waste of time and money. It was definitely not busy and they seemed to have plenty staff.
