The brisket sandwich was so good, I don’t even have words to describe it. The pan fried oysters were also very good. The owner is very straightforward and no nonsense. This place is pretty popular so you may have to wait a little bit for your food but it is worth it. We drove 355 mi round trip just to visit this place..

Hands down the BEST grilled oysters I have had (and i have tried a lot). Fun location right on the river. With patio that welcomes dogs. Cash only but that’s not a big deal, there is an atm right up the street at the bank.

Pretty great. We got the oyster platter (oysters five ways) and it is pretty much as advertised. Oysters are enormous. All good but if I were to come back I would probably just get the raw ones – not sure these oysters really need any help. Place is a hole in the wall but that’ll only bother you if it bothers you.

South Bend may just be a town you’re passing through but if ever you arrive hungry in town and are looking for oysters, I will recommend this! Their chowder was the best we tasted on our 3-day PNW trip, it really tasted home-made! The grilled oysters is another recommendation, they were very fresh and satisfying! Their home-made grill sauce is really up a notch! Could use a little less salt but that’s just our personal taste preference.

Definitely a place for oyster lovers! Cool little mom and pops place with very good food. Even the burger here was excellent and filling. Clam chowder super yummy and homemade. Place is a little pricey but, friendly staff that cares for their customers.

Passing through on our hiking journey. The owner was not friendly with us at all. His demeanor was uncalled for (family business or not, don’t treat your customers as if we are hindrance). I can say I highly recommend the grilled oysters with everything. The establishment has a Pepsi Fountain machine (which I believe is broken) but serves Coke products per the menu (A lady from our group was able to have a can of Diet Pepsi). Does have bottled water. Prices are not reasonable. CASH ONLY!!

The owner is a fantastic cook and was very personable as well as professional. The Oysters were the best I’ve ever had. Fresh daily. I had the grilled, a dozen with everything, half dozen naked, and a couple of delicious shooters. In the off season, it’s hit or miss as the owner is pretty much running this business on his own and is still a human with other things he has to take care of outside of work. Call in advance! It’s what I did and he wasn’t disappointed. Very reasonable and I will be returning soon!
