Where do I begin… Rivera’s on 7th in Long Beach. Wow. It was like a religious experience. Check it out if you’re in town – you won’t be disappointed! It’s as authentic as you can get, and clearly cooked with love. If Google had 10 stars, I’d give this place 20.

Good place to have a birthday party. Good food, good service, Mariachis and plenty of space to hold a large group of people. I personally have not gone just to the restaurant but I know it’s my aunt and uncle’s fave Mexican food place in Long Beach. All my review is based on is there hall, party space, service and party buffet.

The atmosphere and service were great and the food is authentic and absolutely fantastic. Authentic Mexican food that, so I’m told, is made by mom and dad working in the kitchen. Even with a rowdy group of 7, service was quick and very friendly. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Long Beach!

We’ve been coming here for years and this feels like family, that makes the best specialty Mexican food. Hubby calls it comfort food and has his fav, stuffed chicken burrito wet. Gorgeous shredded chicken, cheese, beans, all made fresh daily. My fav is the fresh made secret recipe albondigas. Fat meatballs floating in the perfect broth full of veggies, spices, fresh chopped onion and cilantro topping. Riveras service, the best.

My wife called to make an order and was placed on hold for a good while. Not even a hold button so you can hear what’s going on. The young lady just ignores the phone. So I decide to call and instead of acknowledging the call, she picks up the phone and places it down and leaves me on. The food is great. Too bad the service isn’t. I usually spend 80 or more. Not ordering here again.
